ASSAM UNIVERSITY::SILCHAR NOTICE
This is for information of all concerned that certain administrative tasks are difficult to perform from home and therefore
a good number of staff have to come regularly to office inspite of increasing risk of COVID 19. Without their active role in office, it would be extremely difficult to render essential utility service, support academic functioning, disburse regular payment and ensure time bound submission of various reports, information etc to UGC/MHRD/PMO and other Ministries. It is therefore extremely necessary to reduce the risk of exposure of those staff so that smooth functioning of the essential and priority services continues during the time of COVID-19 without any break. Accordingly, following measures are proclaimed for compliance till 31st July 2020 unless otherwise it is an emergency matter or special permission has been obtained for the same.1. Entries into administrative units are strictly restricted. Only employees posted in administrative units are permitted.
2. No face to face offline meetings with officers/staff are allowed without prior permission except departmental office meetings.
3. Wearing of masks in public life by covering upto nose is mandatory for staff and all are advised to keep special note of it.
4. There shall be no personal submission of hard copy of any application or document in any office. Urgent applications and documents, if any are to be submitted through online to the controlling officer. In case of specific requirement of submission of hard copy, the same may be submitted to the security staff at the gate of each administrative units like Exam building, Administrative building etc. Controlling officers are expected to make necessary arrangements accordingly.
5. Staff attending office are expected to strictly maintain social distancing and other norms (related to COVID 19) in their public life and are advised to refrain as far as practicable from visiting markets, riding public vehicle except University vehicle, frequently going out of home, touching things casually.
