1.0 INTRODUCTION:

The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) has been established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). The University is accredited with 'A' grade from NAAC. The Central University of Punjab is the youngest university that has secured its position in the top 100 institutions (95th Rank) in the University category & 1st amongst New Central Universities in the MHRD’s NIRF Ranking 2019. Central university of Punjab, Bathinda invites quotations for the purchase of e-books from publishers/distributors /suppliers/ agencies, to its University Library.

2.0 SCOPE OF WORK:

3.0 Terms and conditions:

 Perpetual access (Life Time)

 The price may be please be quoted only for the latest editions of books and will supply the access to same editions.

 The submitted list of books is only those recommended in the Syllabi 2021-23 available at http://cup.edu.in/syllabi_2021_23.php . No additional books have been added. If different books are found, the university will cancel my quotation.

 There is No platform, hosting or licensee fee to access the e-books

 There is no Server Maintenance Fee.

 A free mobile app is available (Android & Windows)

 Students can create their bookshelf from the entire purchased titles.

 Offline Reading: Students can download the complete book in a free app and read them offline.

 Extra Features such as Book Mark, Notes, and Highlights are there on the platform.

 No additional hardware/software is required.

 24/7 access, for all purchased eBooks.

 Ease of Access – Laptop/ Desktop/ Mobile Friendly.

 All the purchased e-books provided to the subscriber in the Hard disk in PDF format in unencrypted format.

 Access to an unlimited number of simultaneous library users to the e-books through IP based access

 The Licensor shall be entitled to provide remote access facility to authorized users of the member Institution via secured authentication means or software like

EZproxy/RemoteX/INFED/Username & Password etc.

 GST will be applicable as per the rules of GOI.

 Supplier shall provide MARC records of all purchased eBooks

 Any violation of copyright for putting information in the eBook collection(s) shall be the responsibility of the supplier.

 No DRM Restrictions

 Any complaint regarding access is to be resolved within 24 hours.

 User awareness programmes /training as mutually decided by the supplier and the institute will be conducted by supplier to promote the use of purchased eBooks.

 Jurisdiction: This order is subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bathinda only.

4.0 Purchase procedure :-

 Prices will be applicable as per only latest editions and publisher catalogue. Price will not be changed after getting quoted price of E-books in confirmation by vendors through email ([email protected]). The order will be placed on the basis of discount.

 The list of the E-books should be prepared in excel sheet format shared by university in annexure – 1. The excel sheet format should not be changed, otherwise quotation of the supplier will not be considered for supply order.

 The incomplete information in the excel sheet will not be included in the comparative sheet.

 If the vendor has confirmed to supply the E-books but does not supply any E-book then his vendor ship will be blacklisted from Central University of Punjab, Bathinda.

 RBI conversion rate will be considered for conversion of foreign currencies in INR.

 100% payment will be released through RTGS/by cheque after receiving of the e-books .

 The university library reserves the right to cancel the purchase order as a whole or in part at any time or in the event of default on the part of the supplier.

 All legal proceedings in connection with this purchase order shall be subject to the territorial jurisdiction of the local civil courts at Bathinda only.

● I hereby undertake to supply the e-books as per specifications given in the Notice/supply order within stipulated period, if I qualify in the process.

● There is no vigilance/CBI case or court case pending against my firm nor is my firm blacklisted by any agency/department.

● All legal proceedings in connection with this purchase order shall be subject to the territorial jurisdiction of the local civil courts at Bathinda only.
