NSS Special Camp 2022-2023
The aim of NSS special camp is to educate people and empower them. The objective of the camp was to make the students learn the lesson of social service, Importance of tree plantation, cleanliness, plastic free society , make them aware about Nasha mukti, Beti Bachao & Beti Padhao, Road Safety, Cyber Crime, Interact with people about their problems and needs etc.
With this motto the NSS Unit of College of Food Processing Technology and Bio Energy, comprising of 50 students, organized a special camp from 25th February to 3rd March, 2023 at village Thamna, Taluka- Umreth, District- Anand. Major Activities undertaken during Special Camp 2023 are as follows.
On day 1 was comprised a Cleanliness drive Rally, in which volunteers was cleaned the educational institute. The rally was carried out by the volunteers with the motive of “Swachch Bharat, Swasth Bharat”. On day 2 there was an exercise session under Fit India campaign, after that poster making on the topic of Cow base organic farming, survey on organic farming and Wall painting were carried out. Day 3 was comprised of Yoga and Meditation session and Tree Plantation programme. The following 4th day included Road Safety Drive, in which volunteers carried out a rally on the topic and after that volunteers gave presentation on Road Safety topic in Thamna school to the students. The Day 5 comprised of Yoga and Meditation then volunteers cleaned Health center of the village and some of the volunteers gave a career guideline lecture to the students of the school and then the Volunteers performed a meaningful drama in the village on the topic of Nasha Mukti. They also marched in the village. Ratrisabha on this day included a group discussion on the topic of G20 and Millet year 2023. 6th day of NSS Special camp included Cyber Awareness, there was an expert lecture on the topic by Mr. Mustakin, ASI of cybercrime branch of Anand. The last day of the NSS special camp comprised of Valedictory programme. Director, Students’ welfare, Dr. D.
H. Patel, AAU, Anand was present in the programme and in his speech, highlighted the importance of NSS and also appreciated the students for carrying out various activities. With the speech of NSS officer, Cultural programmes and Overall report by the NSS ambassador, the programme concluded successfully. Whole programme was framed by programme Officer NSS, Er. A. N. Nakiya, under the guidance of Dr. S. Dutta, Principal and Dean, FPT&BE, AAU, Anand.
