About the Index
CRISIL Composite CP Index tracks the performance of A1+ rated commercial papers (CPs) across maturities.
Features
Seeks to represent the performance of most recently issued A1+ rated CPs across maturities
Base date for the index: April 30, 2007
Index portfolio marked-to-market on a daily basis using CRISIL Money Market valuation
Derived index based on the below mentioned sub-indices
CRISIL 2-month CP Index (73%)
CRISIL 3-month CP Index (19%)
CRISIL 6-month CP Index (2%)
CRISIL 1 Year CP Index (6%)
Key Characteristics
Representation: The index seeks to represent the performance of CPs across maturities thereby seeking to represent the CP market
Replicability: The index constituents are valued on a daily basis. This lends the index a realistic approach by having the valuations close to the market levels
Methodology
Index valued on a daily basis using CRISIL Money Market valuation
Index is fully invested at all points of time with no cash component
