A Visual Presentation Contest Theme:
Futurists can dish out some exciting and downright scary visions for the future of machines and science that either enhance or replace activities and products near and dear to us.
Guidelines:
12. One entry per team is allowed.
“Dream 2070”
As Engineers are the creators of revolutions in technology, this visual presentation contest will portray the dreams of some life-changing & mind-blowing technologies foreseen by 2070.
1. Contest “Dream 2070” is open to students of II, III & IV year of all departments.
2. Sci-Fi (Science Fiction) inspired ideas are to be developed and exhibited in the form of video/simulation/animated video.
3.Speculative fiction ideas out of no logic are not entertained; it must follow engineering principles / concepts/ interpretations/relevance.
4. The thinking should be so advanced and futuristic that it competes with the rapid pace
of technological evolution and takes a minimum of 50 years from now to be implemented. It is reiterated that the pace of technological advancement is supersonic and hence deep thought is warranted about the 50 years duration.
5. A student can participate in the contest as an individual or can team up with a maximum
of 2 other students and represent as a team. The team formation can be intradepartmental.
6. Video length: 4minutes.
7. The quality of the content and delivery style is vital.
8. Team details (Team name and Topic) should be displayed while the video commences.
9. The video must deliver the content clearly; aid of self-made material is must. (Example:
Technical pictures, futuristic concept pictures, concept videos, etc..).
10. Plagiarism is strictly not allowed.
11. Copyright trademarks or third-party logos in the video presentation will lead to disqualification. However, use of resources with due acknowledgement / references may be considered appropriately.
