Five days online Faculty Development Programme

Programme Objectives

To address changing perspectives of research, new methods, techniques and paradigm shift in Social Science.

To examine the new developmental issues, problems, and challenges in public health, gender studies, field research, environmental issues and borderland studies in social sciences.

Who can attend

Assistant professors/ lecturers, post-doctoral/ doctoral scholars and scholars/ researchers working in national and state level research institutes/ organizations who are teaching or doing research in social science and allied disciplines having keen interest in teaching and research.

Outcomes

This FDP may lead to a critical understanding of some of the contemporary issues which scholars from various social science disciplines may like to know/ discuss in the context of both teaching and research.

How to apply

There is no registration fee. The registration will open from 1st May 2020. Number of seat is limited up to 150 only. Important Notes

All the registered participants will be given an e-certificate of participation.

Classes will start from 11:00 am. Classes will be conducted in Cisco Webex.

Social science being dynamic in nature has always tried to address emerging issues of human societies at large irrespective of their historicity and spatial location. In the context of growing emphasis on interdisciplinary

ventilation of research and ideas, there is a need to address various emerging issues, problems and challenges of our time.

Current pandemic is an example which reaffirm the need for such initiatives even from the perspective of social science. In response to such challenges this FDP is an attempt to address some of the important issues which are relevant across disciplines. Looking towards a valuable discourse with resource persons from within and outside India.
