A reference is invited to the resolutions made by the Academic Council at its various meetings on the recommendation of Faculty of Technology and accordingly the University circulars have been issued by the UG/PG section which are mentioned below and the Principals of the affiliated colleges in Engineering and Technology are hereby informed that the detailed interpretation of these circulars as far as the conduct of concerned Examinations and processing of results for the students of old course (R 1994-95)
& (R 2001-02) batch of FE (Sem. I & II), and BE (Sem. VII & VIII) at University level & SE (Sem. III & IV) and TE (Sem. V & VI) at college level on behalf of the University for the equivalent subjects given in revised scheme of concerned semesters Examinations at the Second Half 2009 and thereafter till the scheme is in existence will be as under:-
¾ Guidelines for the conduct of examinations and processing of results of the examinations where equivalence has been given as per the various
circulars of the University

• No examinations will be conducted for the students of the scheme of (R 1994-95).
• No regular examination will be conducted for the students of the scheme of (R 2001-02) since the last examinations of FE (Sem I & II) for the old scheme syllabi of (R 2001-02) had already been conducted in first half of 2009.
• The equivalent subjects of the scheme of (R 2001-02) for FE (Sem. I & II) are given in the circular No.UG/320 of 2009 dated 18th August 2009.
• The EX will have to be shown in the column of theory and term work of the same subject/s of the old scheme in which the candidate/s has already passed while preparing the result of the revised scheme.
• The Obtained Marks will have to be shown in the column of equivalent subject/s for which the candidate/s has appeared while preparing the result of the revised scheme.
• The - - (Not Applicable) will have to be shown in the column of oral, practical and term work of the equivalent subject/s of revised
• The examinations forms with the equivalent subjects of the students from the scheme of (R 2001-02) shall be sent to the University separately by mentioning OTR (old to revised) on top of the form.
• The examinations forms of the regular students from the scheme of (R 2007-08) shall be sent as per routine procedure.

• The OTR results will have to be processed and gazette will be generated separately.
• Mark statement shall be issued to the candidate/s as per revised scheme.
2 BE (Sem. VII &
VIII) of old scheme (R 1994-95) in the equivalent subject of scheme R 2001-02.
• The examinations forms of the students from old scheme (R 1994-95) shall be sent to the University separately by mentioning OTR (old to revised) with their date of enrollment / registration to the course on top of the form for Sem. VII as per the equivalent subjects given in the circular No.UG/322 of 2009 dated 21st August 2009 and for Sem.
VIII as per the equivalent subjects given in the circular No.UG/402 of 2009 dated 30th October 2009.
• In some of the branches the candidates are required to appear for equivalent subjects in more than two semesters but candidates has to fill up the examination form for the semester in which he / she have to actually appear i.e. Sem.
VII and / or VIII only.
• The moderated result of lower examinations T.E. (V or / and VI) send by the colleges to the university shall be considered for the processing of the OTR result of B.E. Sem. VII & VIII.
• The - - (Not Applicable) will have to be shown in the column of oral, practical and term work of the equivalent subject/s of revised scheme and also in new theory head if any since the candidate/s does not have these head in the old scheme.
• The EX will have to be shown in the column of theory and term work head of the same subject/s of the old scheme in which the candidate/s has already passed while preparing the OTR result.
The Obtained Marks will have to be shown in the column of equivalent subject/s for which the candidate/s has appeared while preparing the result of the revised scheme.
• In case of the equivalent subject for Sem VII and /or VIII from the old scheme (R 1994-95) is given in the lower semesters of the revised scheme (R 2001-02), the candidates are required to appear for the examination of lower semesters in that subject with the seat number given by the University for VII and/or VIII.
• The list of the candidates semester-wise and subject-wise of the equivalent subjects at various semesters has to be prepared by the colleges and same should be sent along with the examination forms to the University.
• The candidates are required to appear for the examination of equivalent subjects in the given semesters strictly as per the UG circular of the University.
• The total and obtained marks will have to be shown on the result of Sem. VII as per the actual appearance of the candidate in that examination and remark will be given as PASS or FAIL.
• The Marks with EX will have to be shown in the column of Sem VII and total and obtained marks of Sem. VIII will have to be shown as per the actual appearance of the candidate in that examination and remark will be PASS or FAIL.
• The OTR results of Sem. VII & VIII will have to be processed accordingly and gazette will have to be generated separately after the receipt and moderation of all lower examinations results.
• Mark statement shall be issued to the candidate/s as per the revised scheme.
3 TE (Sem. V & VI) of) of old scheme (R 1994-95) in the equivalent subject of scheme
(R 2001-02)
• The examinations forms of the students from old scheme (R 1994-95) shall be processed separately by mentioning OTR on top of the form for Sem. V and Sem. VI at the college level as per the equivalent subjects given in the circular No.UG/402 of 2009 dated 30th October 2009.
• In some of the branches the candidates are required to appear for equivalent subjects in more than two semesters but the candidate have to fill up the examination form for the examination in which they have to actually appear i.e.
Sem. V and / or VI only.
• In case of the equivalent subject for Sem V and /or VI from the old scheme (R 1994-95) is given in the higher semesters i.e. Sem VII and/or VIII of the revised scheme (R 2001-02), the candidates are required to appear for the examination of
• The Obtained Marks will have to be shown in the column of equivalent subjects for which candidates has appeared and - - (Not Applicable) will have to be shown in the column of remaining subjects specifically for these candidates while preparing the results of the lower examination.
• The OTR result will be processed separately and the separate gazette of Sem. V & VI will be sent to the University for the purpose of moderation of the candidates those who are appearing for the equivalent subjects in the lower examinations.
• In case of the appearance of equivalent subject of Sem V and /or VI from the old scheme (R 1994-95) is given in the higher semesters i.e. Sem VII and/or VIII of the revised scheme (R 2001-02), the colleges are required to retain the answer books of such candidates in the colleges and complete the assessment process at college level

• In some of the branches there are few subjects for which NO EQUIVALANCE is given however the candidates has to mention the subject of old scheme on the examination form.
• The question papers of OLD SCHEME will be sent to the concerned colleges provided the college sends the requisition for requirement of question papers for these subjects to the University well in advance.
• The list of the semester wise and subject wise of the equivalent subject has to be prepared by the colleges and sent to the examination house which will help the Manuscripts Unit for sending the question papers for the concerned subjects to the concerned colleges for conduct of examinations.
• The candidates are required to appear for the examination of equivalent subjects in the given semesters strictly as per the UG circular of the University.
and consider this marks for the processing of OTR result of Sem V
& VI as mentioned above.
• Mark statement shall be issued to the candidate/s as per the revised scheme.

• The Obtained Marks will have to be shown in the column of equivalent subject/s for which the candidate/s has appeared while preparing the OTR result.
• The total and obtained marks will be shown on the result of Sem. V as per the actual appearance of the candidate and remark will be given as PASS or FAIL.
• The Marks with EX will be shown in the Sem V column and total and obtained marks of Sem. VI will be shown as per the appearance of the candidate and remark will be given as PASS or FAIL.
4 S. E. (Sem. III & IV) of old scheme (R 2001-02.)
• No examination will be conducted for the students of the scheme of (R 1994-95).
• In some of the branches the candidates are required to appear for equivalent subjects in more than two semesters but the candidate have to fill up the examination form for the examination in which they have to actually appear i.e.
• Result to be processed on the similar way as per the process mentioned above for Sem V & VI.
Sem. III and / or IV only.
• In case of the equivalent subject for Sem III and /or IV from the old scheme (R 1994-95) is given in the lower semesters i.e. Sem I and/or II of the revised scheme (R 2001-02), the candidates are required to appear for the examination of Sem I and/or II in that subject with the seat no given by the college for Sem III and/or IV.
• The examination will be conducted for the students of the scheme of (R 2001-02) of Sem. III in Second half of 2009
& Sem. IV in First half of 2010 for the last time.
They are therefore requested to inform the concerned faculty in charge of examination of their colleges and the students concerned to understand & follow the above mentioned facts to minimize the queries and to avoid the difficulties in processing of the examination forms of the students concerned and also to follow the above mentioned guidelines for processing of the results.
