MINUTES OF THE TWENTY- FOURTH MEETING OF DEPARTMENTAL AFFIARS COMMITTEE (DAC) HELD ON 12THOCTOBER 2020 AT 12 NOON
Following members were present:

4. Dr. Jonali Gogoi Member
The Chairman welcomed all the members to the Twenty- Fourth meeting of the Departmental Affairs Committee of the Department of Statistics, Assam University
The agenda of the discussion was circulated before the meeting. The discussions were held on the agenda items. After discussion the following resolutions were taken.
Agenda 1: Webinar related matter: “Two-day National Webinar on Recent Advances on Theoretical and applied Statistics”
Resolution 1:
The Chairman appraised the house about the webinaron the theme “Two-day National Webinar on Recent Advances on Theoretical and Applied Statistics” to be conductedby the Department via online mode in Google meet on 20-21 November 2020. Dr. Tanusree Deb Roy shall be the coordinator of the seminar. The Registration fee of Rs 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) for Teachers and Professionals and Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) for Research Scholars and PG students may be charged from each of the participant.
The house agreed to it. Approval of the competent authority shall be sought in this regard Agenda 2: Progress of online classes
Resolution 2: Considering the pandemic situation for COVID 19 regular classes are conducted via online mode through Google meet and The Learning Management System(LMS) “Online VidyaChorcha”. Every teacher has covered approximately 60% of their classes. The second internal examination of semester-III is in progress.
As there was no other matter to discuss so the meeting ended with thanks from and to the chair.
