1. Who is a reliable person on the account of Nyāya philosophy?

Ans.: A reliable person may be a Risi, mlechha, ārya, who is an expert in certain matter and willing to communicate his/her experience on it.

2. What is laukika sabda?

Ans.: The classification of laukia and alukika sabda is based on sources of knowledge. Laukika testimony is spoken by human beings and liable to error.

According to Nyāya, only the words of trust worthy person who always speaks the truth are considered as valid.

3. Name the conditions those are required to have valid sentences.

Ans.: There are four conditions required to have the valid sentences. These are;

ākānksā, yogyatā, sannidhi, tātparya.

4. Briefly explain about ‘sānnidhi’.

Ans.: Sānnidhi expresses about the proximity of a sentence. For example, if someone speaks can….i…ask…you…something? Here, the hearer can’t understand what the speaker is speaking about, but if the speaker utters this sentence without a long beep within words then it will be understood to the hearer.
