Formation of ASCE Students' Group
A visit to Texmaco Ltd.,Agarpara Work, Belgharia, Kolkata is arranged for the students of 2010-2014 Batch on 3rd March, 2013.
The purpose of the visit is to introduce the students to the different material handling equipments such as industrial trucks & vehicles, conveyors, hoisting equipment, robotic handling system etc.
This visit will be beneficial for the students as they have "Materials Handling
(Subject Code: CE605C )"as a theory paper.
Rudraprasad Bhattacharyya and Goutam Chowdhury were aslo present there to guide the students.

"Narula Institute of Technology forming American Society of Civil Engineers International Students Group" was formed on 22nd February, 2013 with an aim to establish an American Society of Civil Engineers Students' Chapter at Narula Institute of Technology.
Prof. Rudraprasad Bhattacharyya will act as Faculty Advisor.
An interim committee was formed unanimously.

Achievements and News
• Faiz Nawaz of 2012-2016 Batch was chosen as Mr.
Freshers on 7th of febuary, 2013 at Freshers welcome of 1st year students
(iNiTalization).
A seminar on "Bio-chemical effects of Arsenic in Environment" was organized on 22nd January, 2013 at Narula Institute of Technology. The main speakers were Prof. (Dr.) Subhas Chandra Santra and Prof. (Dr.) Debasis Chatterjee. They focused on the evil effects of Arsenic Pollution. The technical solutions were also discussed.
They informed students about the scope and need for reseacrch in this subject.

Upcoming Technical Fest 2013
KRITANJ 2013, the Technical Fest 2013 of the Narula Institute of Technology is going to take place during 25th and 26th April, 2013.
For the first time "BUILD IT", the Civil Engineering Component is a part of the event.
The following events will be there to test Civil Engineering expertise of the participants.
• “BRIDGE IT”- An inter-college Bridge Making Competition
• "On the Streets" - An inter-college Transportation Planning Competition
Subhojit Chattaraj, Abhishek Dhar, Swarup Sen Chowdhury of 2010-2014 Batch will contribute as the Coordinators to make the event a grand success.
