Eligibility
B.Tech/M. Tech degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production or relevant branches (65% marks or CGPA of 7 and above) with qualified GATE. Final (M. Tech.) semester students may also apply; they must submit the provisional degree at the time of joining.
Age limit Must not be more than 28 years from the closing date of application (relaxation f or t he r eser ved categor ies i s as per the norms/ orders of GOI).
Duration • 3 years or the project completion date, whichever is earlier
• The candidate will be appointed initially for six months and based on the performance, an extension will be given
Fellowship Rs. 31,000/PM +HRA for the first 02 years and Rs. 35,000 PM +HRA for the third year
Desirable qualifications
• GATE qualified.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in operating relevant machine tools and working on assisted macro/micromachining.
• Research publication in conferences or journals.
Job
description
• The three-year project focuses majorly on - Model analysis-based design and development of an ultrasonic vibration set-up. The developed setup is to work with flood and mist-based cooling and lubrication strategies in micro-turning operations or difficult-to-cut alloys. He/She will be responsible for developing the complete set-up from scratch, performing the experimentation and validating the results.
Other The selected candidates shall be encouraged to register for Ph.D. at IIT Ropar

• Selection will be purely based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview.
