(2) ImpactFor differently abled babies, this organization do its level best of support for social security, mental trauma and trivial family issues that are common to these ill-fated families. Therefore this organization acts as a welfare family where parents of these persons with disabilities can find a mental shelter for ever.. Mission - We champion the rights and interests of all people with Autism, Asperger’s, Dyslexia, etc. and aim to provide these individuals and their families with help, support and services that they can access, trust and rely upon, which can make positive difference in their lives. Our mission is Inclusion, Mainstreaming and Segregation for betterment.. Vision - Kalyani Life Institute’s mission is to empower people with disabilities through its rehabilitation and development center. Every child has the right to education with an acceptable level of learning.. Approach - Persons with disabilities face poorer health care, lower educational opportunities, less economic participation and higher rates of poverty than persons without disabilities. Disability and poverty have a direct relationship, as many poverty reduction schemes are not adequately inclusive of persons with disabilities. Disabled persons also face various related expenses to live independently in the community such as health, rehabilitation and counselling services, assistive technology and devices, and accessible transportation, which increases their requirement for adequate income-generating activities. The lack of access to such support or economic opportunities leads to vast social well-being consequences for them.. Projects Disha - This is an early intervention and school readiness scheme. This is meant for autism, cerebral palsy and mentally retarded babies aged below ten. We are organizing daily therapies into one to one and group basis including speech therapy, occupational therapy, special education, play therapy, music therapy at B-4/382, Rural Kalyani Nadia with 11 autistic, 9 mentally retarded and one cerebral palsy baby. Duration of this unit is from 1.30 PM to 4.00 PM on Thursday to Monday. We have five goals from each five domains of FACP like Personal, Social, Educational, Occupational and Recreational. Beneficiaries have been assessed by Psychologist and special educators and goals have been fixed with baby's capabilities. Within four quarters starting from April of each year babies have been assessed on camera with pre and post video mode. Our Aryadeep and Ankita have been thus progressed and admitted to the normal school.. Vikaas - A project for therapeutic intervention of the babies above ten years diagnosed with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Mentally Retarded includes daily 5 hour intensive therapy starting from 11 to 4 p.m. include speech therapy for non verbals, occupational therapy and sensory integration for baby with autism, special education for mentally retarded babies including other therapies like play and music therapy. Through this project we concentrate to the pre-vocational and Vocational Training of the babies including other integrated educational plan in a resource room. We are organizing Pen assembling, Rakhi making and Mask making unit with these babies. We are measuring the process of improvement through PWDPMS (Persons with Disability Progress Monitoring System) according to FACP’s 5 domain and 25 goals with pre and post video analysis. One of our baby has abled to get job in a tyre selling shop unit and also is performing..
