Step 2: Calculate the radius of a circle Formula:

Radius of a circle (r) = 𝑄

𝜋

For example of Jhargram CD Block

Radius of a circle of (r) = 𝑃𝑇

𝜋

Or, r = 170097

𝜋 = 232.688 Units

So, radius of a circle of Jhargram CD block is 232.688 units

Step 3: Calculate the radius of a circle according to selected scale

Radius of a circle according to scale = Actual radius of a circle ( 𝑟)

Selected Scale (1 𝐶𝑚.𝑡𝑜 350 𝑈𝑛𝑖𝑡)

For example of Jhargram CD Block

Radius of a circle according to scale r = 232.688

350 Cm = 0.665 Cm.

𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑝𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 (𝑃𝑇) × 𝐼𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑣𝑢𝑑𝑎𝑙 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑝𝑜𝑝𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛

Interpretation

The proportional pie on the map of the Jhargram district clearly and intriguingly depicts the nature and characteristics of the caste community in different CD blocks. From the map, it can be interpreted that the distribution of cast community in each CD block of Jhargram District is quite uneven. Although the general community is predominant in all the blocks, the presence of the Scheduled Tribes (ST) is no less. However, the number of Scheduled Caste (SC) in all the remaining blocks except Gopibolovpur - II CD block is negligible then the scheduled tribes. The Binpur-I and Binpur-II CD blocks in the northern plateau region of respective district have the highest concentered number of STs (65727) and SCs (39069) respectively. Probably because the plateau area is preferred for these two races, their predominance can be noticed in this part of Jhargram district.
