I have studied at Ballygunge Shiksha Sadan, Kolkata, till the Xth standard and then, at G.D. Birla Centre for Education for +2 in humanities. After this, I studied at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata with B.A.
Sociology (Hons.). Now, I am studying M.A. Development Studies at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. My research interests include Gender, Religious fundamentalism, Conflict and Violence, Development-induced displacement, Forced Migration, Community and sociality, and Cities and the urban. My B.A. dissertation topic was Saffron as Strength - Exploring the Conversation between Hindutva and Masculinity. My present area is Gender and Development-induced Displacement in the Urban.
