Applications are invited for the following positions (Unreserved) to be filled up on a purely temporary and contractual basis on consolidated pay for a period of one year in WHOPES funded project entitled “Evaluation of SumiLarv 2MR as a mosquito larvicide for control of Aedes aegypti in container habitats in Chennai, India” at National Institute of Malaria Research, IDVC, Field Unit, Chennai.

Essential Qualification 10th Pass/ High School/ Matric/ Equivalent
Desirable Knowledge in local language (Tamil) is preferrable
Consolidated salary Rs. 14910/=
Job requirements To assist in field work for studies on Phase II and Phase III evaluation of mosquito larvicide in container habitats; to assist in laboratory works and any other work assigned by the Principal Investigator

1. Qualification and experience should be from Government recognized organizations.
2. Candidates fulfilling the above qualifications and willing to apply for the post can fill up the application (in the prescribed format available at the end of this advertisement) and submit the same to The Officer-in-Charge, National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR), NIE Campus, 2nd Main Road, TNHB, Ayapakkam, Chennai- 600 077on or before 20th May 2016.
3. Self-attested copies of certificate in support of date of birth, educational qualification (Certificate/Statement of marks), experience as mentioned under essential qualification must be enclosed with the application.

5. The consolidated salary will vary from time to time in accordance with order issued by the Council.
6. The selection to the post will be made through written test. All the original certificates/relevant documents/certificates in support of age, educational qualification and experience need to be brought for verification. Failure to bring the original certificates for verification will be disqualified.
7. No travelling allowance will be paid to the candidate for appearing written test.
8. NOC is necessary in the case of persons serving in Central/State Govt./ Autonomous Bodies/PSUs.
9. The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointments in any ICMR Institutes/Centres for continuation of his/her services in any other project.
10. Incomplete applications and applications received after the last date will be rejected.
