REGULAR ACTIVITIES

“CYBER CRIME AWARENESS PROGRAMME”

30^th April - 2022

A cyber-crime awareness programme was organized on 30.4.2022 at Sheth M. C.

Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand. Total 74 NSS volunteers were actively participated in this programme. The Programme officer has provided the information on ill effects of cyber-crime through the social network, electronic payment systems, ATM banking and KYC documents. The students were awaked off cyber-crimes by video presentation of Sangini programme of Doordarshan Kendra, Shilong. The government of India has decided to inform and aware the people about cyber-crime through the NSS platform also. The first Wednesday of every month was declared as ‘Cyber Crime Awareness Day’. The students were instructed to put profile picture and images of awareness on social media.

“DEBATE ON CYBER CRIME ISSUE”

7^th May-2022

A programme on cyber-crime debate was organized on 07.5.2022 at Sheth M. C.

Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand. Total 72 NSS volunteers were remained present in this programme. The students of second and fourth semester were actively participated in the cyber-crime debate on various current and critical issue of cyber-crime. The discussion was

made on various positive as well as negative effects of digital platforms and also discussed on how to overcome the problems on cyber-crime issues.

“VYASAN MUKTI MARCH’

31^st May-2022

A March (rely) on“ Vyasan Mukti Awareness” in the campus of Anand Agricultural University, Anand was organized on 31.5.2022 by the students of Sheth M. C. Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand. Total 81 students of the Polytechnic were joined this rely. The students were used different slogans on “No Tobacco World Day”. The students were contacted people of various residential area, University Bhavan area of the campus and aware them regarding various health and social issues in human life.

“TREE PLANTATION PROGRAMME”

5^th June-2022

A “Tree Plantation” programme was organized on 05.6.2022 by the students of Sheth M.C.

Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand. Total 48 students of the Polytechnic were remained present in this programme. The tree plantation was made in the presence of Dr V. J. Pate, Principal (I/c) and all the staff members and students of this Polytechnic at Boys hostel of this polytechnic. The students were motivated for tree plantation programme by the various faculty members of this polytechnic and also informed regarding the benefits of tree plantation on this earth planet. The students were planted different plants viz., kaju, jamun, rayan, neem, borsali and drumstick also performed tree plantation group viz. The students were also taken oath for conservation of planted tree in hostel campus.

“WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION” 3^rdJuly-2022

A programme on World Environment Day was organized on 3rd July, 2022 at Sheth M. C. Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand. Drawing/Poster preparation competition was organized on “Only One Earth” theme. Many students were actively participated by representing 05 paintings on the theme. These students have motivated and pass on message on “Only One Earth” to other students and faculty members regarding save environment through their drawings.

“SWACHHATA PAKHVADA (SWACHHATA ZUMBESH)” 1^st August-2022

‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ celebration was started on 1.8.2022 by the Students of Sheth M.C. Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand. All the students have cleaned their rooms and surrounding areas of their hostel. Boys have cleaned room, mess and ground of boy’s hostel.

Girls have also cleaned their rooms and weeding in surrounding area. Total 65 volunteers were participated in this Jumbesh and they were also pledge to keep clean all these areas round the year

“RAIN WATER HARVESTING” 6^th August-2022

As a part of commemoration of events for celebration of AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV. Sheth M. C. Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand has arranged special lecture on “Rain water harvesting” on dated 6.8.2022. Lecture was delivered by specialist of

the subject Dr. Bhavin Ram and presentation was made by Dr. H. B. Shakya. He has given detailed information on “Importance of rain water harvesting and different techniques of well recharging, roof top rain water harvesting etc. All the students of 3rd and 5th semester

have understood importance of conservation of rain water and decided to contribute in this field. This programme was arranged under NSS activities.

“PROGRAMME ON FOOD SAFETY & MALNUTRITION” 17^th September-2022

As a part of celebration of Food Safety & Malnutrition related issues Sheth M. C.

Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand has arranged Drawing cum Poster Competition on Food Safety & Malnutrition on 17^th September 2022. Total 40 students have been participated in this competition. Dr. Gayatriben Jadeja, Assistant Professor, Polytechnic of Food Science and Home Economics, AAU, Anand evaluated all the Drawings of the Participants. The First three winners have awarded by Dr. H.B.Shakya, NSS Programme Officer of this Polytechnic.

“

THALASSEMIA AWARENESS AND TESTS OF STUDENTS

” 7^th November-2022

Sheth M. C. Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand has organized a programme on thalassemia awareness and test on 7.11.2022. Students of first semesters (Total 44 Students) have participated. Expert from Red Cross Society, Ahmedabad has given detail about thalassemia disease and how to avoid such problems, then blood samples of first semester students have been collected for thalassemia test of this polytechnic.

CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN (SWACHCHHTA ABHIYAN)

”

A day long cleanliness campaign was organized by all the NSS volunteers of the Sheth M. C.

Polytechnic in Agriculture, Anand on 10.1.2023. The unwanted waste materials were removed from the approach road, playground and open area surrounding hostel as well as Polytechnic buildings.Dr. H. B. Shakya, NSS Programme Officer and Smt. Sejalben Savadhariya, Agriculture Officer were remained present and guide the volunteers during this cleanliness campaign

A Special Camp Organized

at Vadod Village by

A special NSS camp was organize by the Sheth M. C. Polytechnic in Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand for about 7 days in Vadod village, Ta: Anand, Dis:

Anand. The NSS Camp is held from 10 to 16 March, 2023. The special attention was given to arrange the program according to the government guidance given time to time. Total 40 Volunteers were involved in this NSS special camp and by their hard work many activities were performed for the development of society. The objective is to make the volunteer a responsible citizen of India and to make others aware about the importance of responsibility that they have towards their community, society and country.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

A Special camp of NSS was organized during 10^th March to 16^th March, 2023 (Seven days) at Vadod Village, taluka and district Anand by Sheth M. C. Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Anand. Total fourty (40) students of this polytechnic were participated in this NSS Special camp. The students were done various activities like village survey programme, Beti Bhachavo, Beti Padhavo Reli, Vyashan Mukti Reli, Swachchata Reli, cleanliness campaign of various public places, roads, temples and surroundings of Gram Panchayat building, Plantation programme of Medicinal plants at Government Girls Primary School of the village, visit of progressive farmer’s farm, interaction with Anganvadi children, etc. Special talk on emergency awareness and live demonstration was also arranged with the help of Mr.

Sureshbhai Rathva and its team of 108 service, Gujarat Government and “awareness on environment and sparrow protection” among High school students and all the Staff of the village. Distribution and installation of sparrow nests to various public places and high school ground area was made by NSS volunteers. Two play on topic of ‘importance of Cleanliness’ and ‘awareness on Mobile addition’ were also played among the primary school students and staff members. The NSS Volunteers were actively participated in each and every programme organized at village level. Mr. Gopalbhai Patel, Principal of High School of the village had inspired the students for volunteer activities which may increase social service, politeness, kindness and hard work among the students during NSS camp.

NSS volunteers gave their feedbacks in detail about every activities organized during camp and make presentations individually on different topics related to NSS activities and objectives on the of the camp. The Validatory function was organized at the last day of the Special camp in the presence of Dr. Y.M.Shukla, Principal and Dean, B.A. College of Agriculture, AAU, Anand, Sarpanch Shri. Mahendrasinh Zala and other Village leaders.

This NSS camp have remained successful due to continuous encouragement to the volunteers and good planning of various activities by Dr. H. B. Shakya, Programme officer (NSS) and Smt. Sejalben Savadhariya, Agricultural Officer and Staff member of this polytechnic
