NOTICE
Department of Statistics offers the following as open papers for the CBCS course in M.Sc (Statistics).
1. Paper no 203 “Fundamentals of Data Collection and Analysis” (CBCS paper open to PG Students of other department) and Paper no.204 “Statistical Inference I” (CBCS paper open to all PG Students)
2. Prerequisite of the Courses :
i. 203: Passed Higher Secondary with atleast 50% marks in Mathematics OR had qualified B.Com with atleast 50% marks in Business Mathematics / Business Statistics OR pursuing M.Sc in Mathematics or Physics.
ii. 204: Passed Graduation (B.Sc) with atleast 55% marks in Statistics (Pass/Honors) or a PG student of Statistics.
iii. No of seats Paper 203 is 30 and in 204 is 20
3. The criteria for selection is first come first serve subject to the fulfillment of prerequisites of the paper.

5. Student interested to study an open paper (s) in Statistics department must fill up the form given in the link above and send an intimation mail to [email protected] with the subject line ‘choice for open paper’ . The last date of application is 30thApril 2021.
6. All selected candidates shall be informed by e-mail in due course of time. Selected candidates need to reply back expressing their interest in taking up the course failing which it shall be deemed that they are not interested to take up the course in Statistics Department.
