Kazakhstan almost doubled its share of uranium exports in 2014 compared to the previous year. Its share is now 23 percent and it produced 22,827 tons of uranium during the same period. The talks were moderated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mussinov and Director of the French Center for Political and Foreign Affairs Fabien Baussart.

Kazakhstan’s Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova during the opening remarks emphasised on the country supporting initiatives to restore trust in international relations and strengthen peace and security based on international law. Abdykalikova added that Kazakhstan hopes for the continuation of talks between the Syrian authorities and the opposition within the framework of the Geneva process.68.

The sixth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Lithuania was held in Vilnius on October 6. They also considered the prospect of strengthening ties both in the Uzbekistan-EU format and within the UN and other organizations.75. Tajik President Emomali Rahmon expressed concern over the tense situation along the shared border with Afghanistan during a meeting with Russian President Putin held in Sochi on October 6.
