Spectre-2K17, an interdepartmental fest was organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering on 8.2.2017 at Jansons Institute of Technology. It contained technical and non technical events namely Paper presentation, Short film, Ad zap, Poetry, Gaming, Editorial Cartoons, Quiz and Fun events. We had a total of 552 participants from departments of Computer science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Certificates were distributed for the participants and cash prize were awarded for the winners.
PAPER PRESENTATION
Paper presentation was conducted during 9.30 A.M to 11.15 A.M.
in two halls, having First year student participants in Lecture Hall 16 and senior classes (II, III & IV year) students participants in Lecture Hall 17. A total of 28 members participated in this event. Cash Prize along with achievement certificate was awarded to the teams or individual participants who secured first and second place. Prizes were distributed separately for the participants from both the halls.
Participation certificate was given to all the participants other than prize winners.
SHORT FILM
Short film contest was conducted during 9.30 A.M to 11.15 A.M. A total of four teams (17 members) took part in this event. Cash Prize along with achievement certificate was awarded to the teams that secured first and second place. Participation certificate was given to all the participants other than prize winners.
POETRY
Poetry was conducted in Electronic devices lab from 11.15 A.M. – 11.45A.M. 16 participants from various departments participated in this event. Poetry competition was conducted in two languages (English and Tamil). Cash Prize along with achievement certificate was awarded to the individuals who secured first place in English and Tamil poetry. Participation certificate was given to all the participants
other than prize winners.
EDITORIAL CARTOONS
Editorial Cartoons was conducted in Microprocessor Lab from 11.15 A.M. – 11.45A.M. 30 participants from various departments participated in this event. Cash Prize along with achievement certificate was awarded to the individuals who secured first and second place. Participation certificate was given to all the participants other than prize winners.
GAMING
Gaming event was conducted in DSP and Networks lab in two time slots. As the participants count was too high the event was scheduled from 11.45 A.M. – 12.15 P.M. for EEE and CSE department students and for CIVIL and Mechanical department students it was scheduled between 1.45 P.M. – 3.15 P.M. 233 members from various departments participated in this event. Cash Prize along with achievement certificate was awarded to the individuals who secured first and second place.
AD ZAP
Ad zap was conducted in Microprocessor Lab from 1.00 P.M. – 1.45P.M. in Lecture Hall-16. 14 members from various departments participated in this event. Cash Prize along with achievement certificate was awarded to the teams that secured first and second place. Participation certificate was given to all the participants other than prize winners.
FUN EVENTS
Fun events were conducted in lecture halls 13 & 15 between 1.00 P.M. to 1.45 P.M.98 members from various departments participated in this event. This event included connexions, dubsmash, surprise tasks and many more. Chocolates were distributed for the participants who has completed the task assigned..
QUIZ
Quiz was conducted in lecture halls 14 & 16 between 1.45 PM – 3.15 PM .116 members from various departments participated in this event. Preliminary round (written test) was conducted for all the participants of Quiz competition and from that students were shortlisted based on their performances. The second (final) round was question and answer session.
