ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The dynamics in the information environment is always a challenge as well as an opportunity for the Library and Information Professionals. Without constant updation of technological skills, library professionals will not be able to survive in their workplace. This workshop is intended to enable and enhance the existing skills of library professionals in handling automated library operations. Additionally, it offers the opportunity to learn new skills in certain recently trending areas in librarianship. The programme will help the participants to improve their professional and technical competencies in the changing library landscape.

The theoretical & practical sessions will provide information on:

 Gamifying Library Service

 Converting data into customizable informative reports and dashboards by using Looker Studio

 Designing with CANVA: an online graphic design tool

 Designing of Library Website

 Advanced training in KOHA: an Open source Library Management Software

 Research Data Management

 Research data sharing and access through E-ShodhManthan

 MS Excel for day to day Library operations

 Plagiarism: Detection & Avoidance.
