About the University

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow was established in 1996 as a Central University (By the Act of Parliament 1994) with the objective of promoting advance knowledge through instructional and research facilities in science and social sciences. This University is a Post Graduate and Research University which promotes professional studies, inter-disciplinary studies, and research development activities. The University started academic programmes which have employment potential and are relevant for the development of Indian Society.

About Council for Teacher Education (CTE)

Council for Teacher Education, a professional organisation for Teacher Educators of the country was established in 1985 under the leadership of Dr. Gulab Chaurasia, the founder principal of Regional College of Education, Mysore, with the aim of catering to the growth of teachers and teacher educators and strengthening of teacher preparation programmes in the country. Today CTE has become an international body with 25 chapters and more than 10,000 life members.

About the Department of Education

The Department of Education has been established to address the growing need of quality education in our country. It is an answer to the questions of unemployment and shortage of skills, professional commitment & research and innovation. It is well equipped with the modern techniques, laboratories, rich library and highly qualified creative intellectual &

committed faculty members. It is still in growing stage and in future will flourish and be among top most institution of education.

About the Seminar

Education prepares people with knowledge and confidence to make the world a better place to live. Teachers are the key persons in making the foundation stone of a child. Policy makers, community leaders and parents have a responsibility to ensure that teachers engage in continuous professional learning and apply that learning to increase student’s achievement.

Professional Learning provides teachers the opportunity to expand their skills, develop new teaching strategies and deepen their understanding of subject content. Professional development prepares teachers for the changing classroom and provides rich opportunities for teachers to continue and develop their teaching skills and subject knowledge. Professional learning is the link between teacher’s individual skills and the knowledge & contribution they make to students’ fraternity. Professional Development helps to promote and nurture effective teaching and offer quality training and design career paths.

Teachers, Teacher Educators, Educational Administrators, Research Scholars, and other academic experts who are interested in the seminar theme can participate and contribute.

Call for Papers

Papers are invited from the participants on themes and subthemes of the seminar. Paper presenters should mail their papers to [email protected] and send their hard copy

with registration fee and fill registration form on contact address. Separate registration fee is mandatory for co-author/s of the paper.

Important guidelines for abstract and full length paper

The abstract should be in about 300 words and full length paper should be in about 2500 to 4000 words. Papers should be submitted in Times New Roman, font size 12 pt for English, in Krutidev 10, font size 14pt for Hindi. Paper should be written in API format.

Submission of Abstract: 15th March 2017 Submission of Full Paper: 20th March 2017 Registration Fee

Teachers and others: Rs: 800/-

Research Scholars and Students: Rs: 500/- On the Spot Registration

Teachers and others: Rs: 1000/-

Research Scholars and Students: Rs: 600/-

Registration fee should be sent on or before prescribed dates above mentioned through bank draft drawn in favour of “Finance Officer”, BBAU, Lucknow with filled registration form.

The fees can also be paid in cash to the treasurer of the seminar Dr. Sangeeta Chauhan in the Department of Education, BBAU, Lucknow.

Accommodation and Travel Assistance

No accommodation and T.A. and D.A. shall be given by the university. However accommodation in guest house could be arranged on request for outstation delegates on payment basis, if available.
