RINL Pays rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi

RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, joined the nation in celebrating Gandhi Jayanti in Ukkunagaram today with much enthusiasm. Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and paid rich tributes in Mahatma Gandhi Park in Sector-8, Ukkunagaram. Addressing the gathering, Sri Madhusudan recalled the motivational attitude, inspirational teachings and high moral values of the Mahatma. He added that one should imbibe Gandhiji"s leadership qualities to achieve the goals through his principle of non-violence. "Markets are recovering. Good days are ahead for RINL", he indicated. He observed that RINL collective have the potential to deliver in right time and called upon them to rededicate themselves towards organizational growth and success through Gandhian principles.

Special prayers were rendered by members of all religions and Visteel Mahila Samiti members chanted Bhajans as a mark of respect. Sri Madhusudan donated a mid-day meal distribution vehicle and vessels to Niskinchana Bhakta Dasa - Unit President, "AkshayaPatra" Foundation in the presence of Directors, union representatives and members of VMS for the School Meal Programme as a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility. This CSR initiative of RINL will supplement effective delivery of clean and hygienic food for 60,500 children in 438 Schools in Visakhapatnam undertaken by Akshaypatra Foundation. Swami Nishkinchana BhaktaDasa from Akshaypatra Foundation expressed heartfelt gratitude towards RINL for supporting the initiative. Later, Sri Madhusudan, Directors of RINL and union leaders participated in the

"Cleanliness drive", as a part of the "Swatch Bharat" initiative at Special Bar Mill (SBM) area in the plant.

Sri PC Mohapatra, Director (Projects), Dr GBS Prasad, Director (Personnel), Sri P Raychaudhary, Director (Commercial) also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. Senior officers of RINL, Smt Bindu Mohapatra,

President, VMS, Vice Presidents, Secretary and members of VMS, Sri P Satyanarayana, SEA, Union leaders, S/Sri Mantri Rajasekhar, from INTUC, the recognized union, Sri D Adinarayana, AITUC, Sri N.Rama rao, CITU, Sri Mastanappa, VSEC, Sri Jagjeevan ram and Sri Anvesh from SC&ST association, representatives of Women in Public Sector, school children and large number of employees participated.
