One million people live in the Helsinki metropolitan area, and a total of 71% of the population lives in urban areas. The central thesis of this essay would be to situate the agency workers and working conditions in Finland in the context of the widening of borders with the establishment of the European Union. Eve Kyntaja examines the complexity and challenges of posted workers in the context of globalization.
The protection of the rights of workers employed outside their countries of origin has been the subject of increasing concern among members of the United Nations. The International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, adopted in 1990, embodies most of the essential provisions of the ILO Conventions. It offers migrant workers from EU member states a range of social rights unequaled in other regions of the world.
In addition, measures were taken in the area of asylum, immigration and the protection of the rights of third-country nationals. The institutions of the European Union are increasingly formulating policies on professional life in the member states of the European Union, and collective bargaining at the European level is also becoming more common.
Working Life in Finland”
Most of the unions have websites from where the members can directly fill the application form and register themselves directly. Members pay monthly membership fees that are between 1 and 2 percent of the employee's gross salary. For the purposes of our essay, we will see how SAK, one of the largest confederations in Finland, works on a common labor protection policy for the Estonians working in Finland.
According to data from 2007, 65% of employment-related inquiries were made by men and 35% of women visited the Info Point with questions about the workplace and workplace safety. While workers sent to Finland are expected to pay income tax on income received in Finland in accordance with the progressive income tax rate if his stay exceeds 183 days; the temporary worker must apply for an income tax card after submitting the E101 certificate of the appointing employer. During the transition period, one of the main concerns was that the opening of the labor market would lead to a decrease in employment among Finnish workers, as migrants have traditionally been seen as cheap labor.
SAK, with the help of some trade unions, believed that the national identity of the "worker" is not important in the already existing exploitative labor market. Although Eve hopes in the early stages that her organization will one day be able to work on a cross-border project that will protect the rights and measures of the "common labor market".
Case Study of Finland- Temporary Worker Situation
While these cross-border initiatives are ways of understanding the complexities underlying the “common labor market” in the context of globalization; it is important to see how these safeguards are applied when the migrant workers in Finland face problems. In its Green Paper, the European Commission has sought to address the issue of migration at European level in the context of the gradual development of a coherent Community immigration policy. It is estimated that well over 500,000 people will retire, representing a fifth or sixth person currently in the active workforce.
According to statistics from the Finnish Labor Market Administration, the number of foreign workers in the Finnish construction sector has already grown strongly in the last few years. Our interview with the Bulgarian workers as an example has been brought in the last section. In a report published in August 2008, the Finnish construction trade union says that the rights of foreign workers in the sector are often trampled upon.
The report cites estimates by Tapio Kari, director of the Confederation of the Finnish Construction Industry (RT), that there are currently around 2,000 foreigners with work permits in the sector, but he believes the number will reach as many as 10,000 by 2010, provided that foreign workers are willing to come to work in Finland. Trade union leader Esko Auvinen, with whom we spoke (Interview 28 March 2008), mentioned to us again in this newspaper report that the number of foreign workers in the construction industry will increase.

Pay increases will take effect on March 1, 2008 or the beginning of the first pay period after that date. In addition to the hourly wage based on the relevant wage grade, each employee must also have a personal wage component. For ongoing contracts, the salary is increased by 5.24%/h for the remaining part of the contract.
The holiday allowance is paid with the salary paid before the holiday or in the final payment if the employment relationship ends. The shorter working time compensation is paid in connection with each current salary payment. From 1 June 2008, the mid-week holiday allowance and shorter working time allowance will be combined, and the subsequent allowance will then amount to 7.7%.
This wage component must not be included in the employees' base wages, whether based on a time rate, contract wage or production bonus system. Special thanks to Ksenia for her help and guidance during our stay in Finland and Kaisa and Juha for all their support during our stay in Helsniki and Tampere. We would like to thank all the individuals and organizations who agreed to our interviews during our stay in Helsinki.

It took two years before the organization was revived and the prisoners were released in 1977. First I met with one of the ORGANIZATION's program coordinators in his office at 48 Ripon Street. The reason for the ban has been - what else but the inhumane image of the profession.
What is challenging about the rights-based approach, however, is that there will always remain a controversy between the pursuit of rights and the humanitarian goals of aid. In Finland, the Red Cross Society is one of the most respected and visible charities. However, this means that the uniqueness of the Red Cross movement is not without controversy.
The limitations associated with the principle of neutrality also emerged in my interview with the disaster relief coordinator of the West Bengal state branch. Many of my questions then touched on the role of the government in causing human suffering in the area. First, it should be noted that while it is a policy to maintain neutrality, silence is not among the principles of the organization.
Admittedly, in my interview with the CINI officials in Gol Park, I was somewhat suspicious of the political connotations imbued in the terminology regarding Established in the 1970s primarily for the rehabilitation of severely malnourished children, the NRC is one of CINI's original institutions. During the day of my visit, however, I got to see some of the daily routines that take place in the Centre.
At this point, it was as if the light of passion lit up in the doctor's eyes. Siddiqui, for example, only 11 percent of Urdu-speaking children in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation are enrolled in officially recognized schools. In PM Basti, the Howrah pilot project has contributed significantly to the educational opportunities of slum dwellers.
The government has made almost no improvements to the area's infrastructure, and facilities for sewage, drainage and waste disposal remain inadequate. My exposure to the lives of the poor and my experience [...] leaves me completely hopeless.
