CROP SCIENCE

Productivity of selected AVT 2 (irrigated) early hill crops grown under transplanted conditions at graded recommended N levels.

The productivity of the system, shown in Table 10, showed a gross income of Rs. Knowledge on quality control and assurance for the development of the MAP sector in the state was also described. The worst was in the year 2009, when most of the NE states were affected by drought-like situations.

However, MZ ZT is better than RCT due to the difference in soil conditions. The liming rate based on 1 M KCl increased soil pH the least (average pH 4.80). The intensity of the increase in soil pH after liming varied depending on the initial properties of the soils used. Data were collected from farmers of all seven districts of Meghalaya through conventional and non-conventional methods. Farmers' opinion was collected through focus group discussion and unstructured questionnaire.

The study showed that there was a significant increase in the income of the farmers after participating in the training. However, the animals' clothing percentages were found to be non-significant among all the groups. The ejaculate volume averaged 0.55±0.27 ml. The semen color was creamy with a yellowish tint and the consistency was thick.

The productive performance and economy of feeding are given in Table 2. The present study revealed that the maintenance of 13 crossbred lactating cows on 1.0 ha of cultivated land with the provision of concentrate and dry fodder is economical and can be the same in the subtropical climatic conditions of the NEH region. rewarding. CP, Ca and P, digestible crude protein (DCP) and digestible energy (DE) value of the ration. Efforts will be made to meet the needs of the seeds of this improved variety in the NEH states.

ARUNACHAL PRADESH

All four varieties were transplanted at a spacing of 25 cm x 10 cm in plot size of 4m x 4m. FYM has applied. It was observed that among different crop sequences, cowpea-okra sequence gave the highest return followed by maize-french bean and maize-pumpkin. However, chlorophyll content was recorded higher in Ixonanthes khasiana (42.0 SPAD) followed by Castonopsis indica (39.3 SPAD).

The number of sticks/clumps was highest (2200 nos.) observed in Chimonobambusa armata [Ebum (runner type)] followed by B. Similarly, weed control efficiency was recorded higher on weed free plots followed by pendimethalin + 1 hand weeding. The highest yield was recorded from colocasia local (15.0 t/ha) followed by Muktakeshi (13.0 t/ha) and TRC 1.

Of the various organic fertilizers, pig manure (20 kg/tree) recorded a higher fruit yield per tree, followed by FYM. Notably, Sharbati recorded the highest yield of 827 fruits/plant, followed by TA-170 (Table 1). The chlorophyll content was found highest in Eleocarpus sphaericus (41.8 SPAD), followed by Chukrasia tabularis (39.0 SPAD) and Sapindus mukorossi (35.3 SPAD).

The light intensity between the distances was recorded highest in Litsea lacta (136.6 lux), followed by Hiko (71.3 lux).

MANIPUR CENTRE

In maize, Pusa Composite 3 (Fig. 11) was maintained with time isolation by Rabi planting (December-January) in the. A trial was designed to monitor the virulence pattern in the blast pathogen population. Research on marketing costs and marketing margins per quintal of tomato for channel 1 has revealed that the farmer's share of the consumer's rupee is 82.75 percent.

Marketing cost and marketing margins per quintal of tomato for channel 2 in Manipur showed that the farmer's share in the consumer's rupee was found to be 51.90 percent. In the case of channel 3, the farmer's share in the consumer's rupee was found to be 42.81 percent. The perishable nature of the product was ranked as the first major constraint (with an average score of 76.54) that the tomato farmers face in marketing the product.

Lack of institutional support and credit in the field of study worsened the conditions for the jhumias. In this study, a multiple response of supporting and hindering factors in the use of quality seeds was observed (Table 13). For potatoes and tomatoes, yield difference is the second most important supporting factor, followed by publicity.

Lack of awareness was found to be the most hindering factor in rice cultivation, while in the case of rapeseed and mustard, non-availability of the desired variety seed was important.

However, incidence of leaf spot (Taphrina maculans) was recorded in four genotypes namely Suranjana, Narendra Haldi-1, BSR-2 and Rajendra Sonia. Leaf area was highest for Himgiri, which was at par with Nadia and Nisapui (Local). The maximum yield was recorded for Nadia followed by Himgiri, Nisapui (Local), Mahima and Varda.

In general, the incidence of soft rot was found to be more in terraced field as compared to sloppy soil, nevertheless inverse for productivity (Table 23).

NAGALAND CENTRE

June was the warmest month and January the coolest month of the year (Table 1). This could be due to the higher response of the maize crops to more nutrient uptake (Table 3). Since the common people of the state mainly depend on shifting cultivation (slash and burn), most of the rejuvenation works were included in Jhum fallow table 10.

All the measures were taken to prevent the pigs from infectious diseases. Regular vaccinations and worming were carried out. The body weights of piglets of both breeds were recorded at weekly intervals up to weaning and then at monthly intervals until they were six months old. But Gramapriya, an egg variety chicken is being introduced at the center for the first time of its kind to popularize and distribute to the farmers and downtrodden people of the poor/tribal belt of the state. However, in one of the dead pigs, anthrax-like bacilli were isolated from heart blood, but on further characterization they were found to be only anthracoids.

On the 30th day of the experiment, piglets from both groups were vaccinated with 2 ml of Salmonella choleraesuis bacterin and the booster on the 34th day of the experiment. In both experiments, however, no significant difference in feed consumption was detected at any time in sows. The study revealed the probiotic value of Aakhuni in pigs, which significantly improved the weight gain of suckling as well as growing pigs.

Only few Bacillus spp., but most of the other bacterial isolates had multiple drug resistance.

SIKKIM CENTRE

The highest maximum temperature 28 ºC was recorded in June while the lowest minimum temperature was 7 ºC in January. Polyembryony was studied in Rough Lemon (Fig 1). The degree of polyembryony in mandarin and Raw lemon was 65.30 and 62.80 % respectively. The degree of polyembryony increased with the increase in the occurrence of two or more number of seedlings.

An average single seedling/seed and multiple seedling/seed ratio of 0.93:1 was recorded. Wilting of plants was recorded least (21%) in Schima wallichi mulched plants followed by forest leaf mulch and black polyethylene in cherry pepper. The longest shelf life of 21 days was recorded at 4 °C, while chili could be stored for only 6 days at room temperature (Figure 3).

In Sikkim, Helopeltis infestation (Fig 5) was recorded for the first time in chilli. The highest yield of buckwheat grain recorded with organic nutrition management through mixed compost 5 t ha-1 + neem cake 0.5 t ha-1 was 1550 kg ha-1. The value for methane production in the present study was 37.2 to 78.4 % of the total gas produced.

Tapioca root is low in crude fiber, which is directly related to lower methane production in the present study.
