MINUTES OF THE 38th MEETING OF DEPARTMENTAL ^AFFAIRS COMMITTEE (DAC) HELD ON 26H AUGUST, 2022 AT 2.30 PM.

The Chaiman welcomed all the members to the Thirty-eight meeting of the Departmental Affairs Committee (DAC) of the Department of Statistics, Assam

University.

The agenda of the discussion was circulated before the meeting. The discussions were held as per the agenda items. After discussion the following resolutions were taken.

Agendal: Examination dates for 4th semester as per instruction from COE

Agenda 2: Number of seats for M.Se (Statistics) program Resolution:

The Head of the Department informed that the UG/PG/Integrated Admission Committee of AUS considering the number of seats, number of faculties available in the Department and average number of students admitted in the last three years (2018- 2021), has recommended the number of seats in the M.Sc (Statistics) program needs to be decreased from 33 to 25, enabling better NIRF ranking in the future. The faculty members of the Department agreed to the proposed and decided that for the M.Se (Statistics) program be reduced from 33 to 25.
