A BRIEF STUDY ON REDUCING NON-PERISHABLE WASTE GENERATION

Abstract - Reducing non-perishable waste generation is a critical aspect of waste management and sustainable practices. This topic explores various strategies to minimize the production of non-perishable waste, focusing on two key areas: minimizing packaging waste and donating/repurposing non-perishable goods. By adopting these strategies, we can significantly reduce the environmental impact associated with non-perishable waste and promote a more circular and sustainable economy.

1. INTRODUCTION
The generation of non-perishable waste poses significant challenges for waste management and environmental sustainability. To address these concerns, it is essential to focus on reducing non- perishable waste generation through effective strategies. This topic explores two key areas:
minimizing packaging waste and donating/repurposing non-perishable goods.
Minimizing packaging waste is a crucial aspect of waste reduction. Excessive packaging, especially in the form of plastic, contributes to environmental pollution and resource depletion. By adopting sustainable packaging alternatives, implementing strategies to reduce excessive packaging, and promoting responsible consumption, we can significantly decrease non-perishable waste generated from packaging materials.
Additionally, donating and repurposing non-perishable goods play a vital role in waste reduction. 2. MINIMIZING PACKAGING WASTE

 Right-Sizing and Minimalism: Opt for right-sizing packaging, where the package dimensions closely match the product's size, reducing the need for excess materials.
Embrace minimalism by eliminating unnecessary layers, inserts, and excessive branding. Streamline packaging designs to prioritize functionality, durability, and efficiency.

3.DONATING AND REPURPOSING NON-PERISHABLE GOODS

Here are key approaches to donating and repurposing non-perishable goods:
