large scale globalization has tightened its roots deeply and firmly. The transmission of ideas, socio-cultural values around the world extended on a large scale. This was possible only through the common consumption of cultures diffused through phenomenal development in the latest information and technology prevailing all over the world.
Language is a means of communication of one's thoughts and actions. English has become an important equipment to possess a good job especially in the era of globalization. Thus the present article aims to show the importance of the English language as the key of international understanding and world regulation under the phenomenon called globalization. In the last few decades we could see a growth in the role of the English language all around the world for economic, scientific, cultural, educational and political exchange.
English language helps you to communicate with people from all over the world. In the field of education it has been taught as second language. Even at the university level courses besides school it has been taught in almost all countries, as it is the dominant language of the research studies and projects. On the internet the majority of websites are written and created in English. Even sites in other languages often give you the option to translate the site into English.
Even today in Bollywood movies and most of the TV serials practice of English language has become a trend.
People ranging from intellectuals, businessman, layman, parents and students all over the world are under the great impact of English language in the job market. At least in the metropolitan cities greater command on English language proves your intellectual superiority. This trend is clearly visible in the target audience of various TV channels.
With good understanding and communication in English one can travel
around the globe comfortably. Proficiency in English helps you in any business venture. Big national and international companies hire their professional staff who are well educated and has an expert hand on speaking, writing and reading English language. English language is not a requirement of modern day life but it has become a necessity of one's successful life or a nation.
Modern world is transforming at a faster pace. Everybody needs a constant touch with the outside world to bring about the revolutionary changes in all the disciplines of life. To trigger a better quality of life every country is making full use of English language. Communication in English helps in establishing international relations. It has become a source of understanding among different nations of the world.
As language achieves a genuinely global status when it develops a special role that is recognized in every country.
Till date English language succeeded in achieving global status as it is given a special place by every country and people within their communities besides their mother tongue. Language is not only a means for establishing a communication but also a vehicle for fostering relationship. Proficiency in English not only provides a good job but also an employee comfortable with his customer.
Alongwith the local language of any country English has almost become the familiar language for almost all human beings. Understanding a particular language can improve the coordination skills of a person. In the twenty first century English has gained immense popularity from other international languages such as French. Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Russain etc. English will continue to dominate the whole world in all fields because of its flexibility and adaptability. It is incredibly wide-spread and is constantly expanding. The internet has revolutionized the ways of human communication as well as English language learning in a global context.
