Abstract- E-learning is playing a very important role in the present educational scenario. It has potential to change the whole education system. In the presence of great social diversity in India, it is difficult to change the social background of students, parents and their economic conditions. Therefore, the only option left for us is to provide uniform or standardized way of teaching and learning. For high quality education throughout India there must be some nation-wide network, which provides equal quality education to all students, including the student from the rural areas and villages. The one and only simple solution to this is e-Learning. The proposed system will provide content/information according to the need of the user and works like a content management system. There are three modules in the proposed system, the main module is administrator module by which whole system can manage and others are student module and faculty module. The proposed system also provides the communication link between the student and teacher in the form chat box.

Keywords: E-learning, Teaching, Information System, Content Management, LMS.

1. INTRODUCTION

E-learning is an education via the Internet, network, or standalone computer. E-learning is basically the network-enabled convey of skills and knowledge. It refers to using electronic applications and processes to learn. E-learning includes all forms of electronically supported learning and teaching. The information or communication systems, whether networked learning or not, serve as specific media to implement the learning process. This often involves both out-of-classroom and in-classroom educational experiences via technology, even as advances continue in regard to devices and curriculum. E-learning is the computer and network-enabled transfer of skills and knowledge. E-learning applications and processes include Web-based learning, computer-based learning, virtual education opportunities and digital collaboration. It is a broad term including various types of teaching-learning methods based on information and communication technology. Both face- to-face (classroom based conventional method of teaching) and distance learning are using the different tools of e-learning successfully to enhance their efficiency.

2. LITERATURE SURVEY

Dr. Lizzie Santiago proposed ―A Literature Survey On E-Learning: Teaching Computer Programming Online Engineering Students‖: Many engineering programs require students to learn computer programming during the first year in the program. The course involves the use of online videos lectures.

Dr. Atul Patel proposed ―A Survey paper on E-Learning Based Learning Management System (LMS)‖: In this paper we have included study of numerous e-learning based learning Management System (LMS). Each system is classified as per parameters such as technology, features and platform-tools.

―Developing An E-Learning System (Course Repository)—A brief survey‖: This paper is a brief survey on important explosion propelled by the internet transformation.

3. EXISTING SYSTEMS

There are so many independent websites and are very few in resources, students are unable to get knowledge more than that the lecture provides to them. This in the end limits student’s performances, because everything a student gets is collected from lectures in class so, student can’t revise the lectures they don’t provide a lecture downloading facility and they Students are unable to share resources effectively and hold group discussions that are monitored or supervised by lectures. Students only get help from lectures if the lectures are going on and if they’re taking classes. The proposed system will overcome all the problems.

2 3.1 Disadvantages

A. Cannot give the setups: The existing systems and websites cannot provide downloading facilities of setups and notes.

B. Repetition of same procedure: In existing systems there are repetitions of same procedure like registration which leads to the repetition of data in database server and occupy more memory in database.

C. Difficult to update data: As there are many modules it will be difficult to update and maintain the data and information of students and faculties.

D. Reliability: The information present in the system may be unreliable if not updated on regular basis. Whenever the system needs to update any data the admin has to change the data in every module.

3.2 Problem Defination

The current system is very limited too few resources, students are unable to get knowledge more than that the lecture provide to them. As we know that there are so many websites available for learning but, there is time limitation for the students to communicate with teacher. Student’s inability to grasp key ideas and concepts. Some main problems with existing systems are listed below:

• There is no feedback facility provided to the students.

• There is no on-spot communication between the student and the guide (teacher).

3.3 Problem Solution

As we know that there is no website that provide the on-spot interaction between students and teachers so we get the solution here we provide a chat-box facility. We also provide feedback facility so that student can directly interact with admin at any time and leave a query related to any course and faculty that we are providing in this system.

3.4 Proposed System

The ―E-learning‖ is a web based online system in which the students can register themselves and can enroll for the course. Students can get the official link for the setups to download them and the notes downloading facility is also provided to them. The proposed system also provides feedback facility and chat-box so the student can interact with teacher directly at any time and they can leave their query regarding any courses.

4. KEY FEARUTES

There are three main key features of the proposed system ―E-learning‖. These features are:

4.1 Quiz: Quizzes are part of the student examination process, in which they include questions created specifically for the purpose of examining the learning material of the corresponding course

4.2 Course Curriculum: Every course created needs to have a table of content, in order students to be able to see if it matches their criteria.

4.3 Platform Security: For security of the platform different techniques are used which provides attacks such as SQL, dos attacks and cross site scripting.

5. WORKING

The figure shows the process flow diagram of the student activity in the proposed system.

There are three main modules admin, teacher (faculty) and student. Firstly, all the users i.e. teachers and students have to login/ register. If the user is admin, then the actions performed by the admin can change the appearance of the website and admin can also view the number of registration of students and the teachers, if the user is teacher then teacher can chat with the student to solve the doubts and also add the notes as per the requirements of the students, if the user is student then the student can enroll for any course which is present in the system, the students can also interact with admin if they have some queries, problems and complaints related with the teachers. Student module is the main module of our system because after receiving the information from the student the information is shared with the other modules. All the user can perform different actions as shown in Figure.

3 6. CONCLUSION

The proposed system gives platform so the learner and teacher play an important role in e- learning. E-learning brings its new dimensions in education. This proposed system has the smart way to learn courses the user feels a friendly environment anywhere & anytime to learn. Satisfaction levels of e-learning were to in traditional classroom learning process control flexibility & increased learner-content interactivity.
