Due to this important reason thousands of small entrepreneurs could neither start their business nor expand as per their abilities. Small entrepreneurs used to be trapped in playing 30%-40% interest to money lenders in such a way that he could not get out of it and remained under the grip of money lender in his entire life. But under the mudra yojana, the poorest of poor is able to get bank loan. No doubt the mudra yojana is a game changing idea.

The Indian banking sector has already been facing multiple challenges in recent times like as NPA, decline profit, poor governors, and corruption etc. The performance of PMMY during 2015-16 reflects that like other scheme of government, regional imbalance can be one of the challenges for this sector also.

8. IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY

Microfinance organization is at present managed and financed by reserve bank of India. Presently on the suggestions of RBI, government of India has set up another controlling and financing body for the microfinance organizations is MUDRA in light of the fact that these are a few explanations behind need of independent controller in the microfinance area. The borrowers in microfinance area address an especially weak segment of the general public. They need singular bartering influence in access of credit offices, have no information about proficiency and live in climate where they are constantly taken advantage of by the inward shocks and routine issue of moneylenders MFIS charge exceptionally high pace important to the borrowers and advances are given by the MFIS are of more limited span.
