A Walk–in-Interview for selection of suitable candidates for the following time bound contractual Young Professional-II (YP-II) under the NICRA sub project “Effect of fallow period and slopes on runoff, soil and nutrient losses from jhum fields of NE India” will be held on 11th November (Thursday) in the Office chamber of the Joint Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal. Eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling the requirements may appear for personal interview by producing their testimonials (in original) at 2.30 p.m.

Essential qualification: Master degree in Soil and Water Conservation/Agronomy/Soil Science/Agricultural Physics/Natural Resource Management/Agril. Engineering (Soil and Water conservation)
Mandatory Qualification for all post:
M.Sc. in relevant subject (give below) with 4 years of Bachelor degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years Master degree must have NET qualification.
Graduates with three years Bachelor's degree, who have acquired professional Master's degree (3 years) like M.Sc.
(Ag.), etc., are eligible.
Candidates having Master's degree in Basic Sciences and have qualified NET and have 02 years research experience are eligible to apply for YP-II.
Desirable (for all posts): Doctoral degree in relevant subject and Knowledge in computer and statistical analysis etc.
Terms and Conditions:
1. The maximum age is 35 years for men and 40 years for women candidates as on date of interview for YP-II (relaxation of age in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government norms).
2. The above mentioned post is purely temporary, on contract basis for 6 months only and may be extended.
3. The applicant must produce his/her original documents, thesis/dissertation (if any) etc. during the interview.
4. Registration of candidates will be opened from 11:30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. on 11.11.2019 and candidate must submit an application addressed to the Joint Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal enclosing his/her brief bio-data (not more than 3 pages), one set of photo copy of certificate(s), passport size photograph, reprint of publications (if any), and other relevant credentials/testimonials.
5. The candidate should submit No objection certificate from the employer, in case, the applicant is in employment elsewhere and Experience certificates in original, if any.
6. No TA/DA etc. will be paid for attending the interview.
7. The incumbent(s) shall not have any claim for regular appointment in ICAR and except the prescribed emolument the incumbent shall not be eligible for any other payments/financial benefits from ICAR.
8. The terms of appointment will be co-terminus with the period of the project or earlier based on the performance of the candidate(s).
9. The selected candidate(s) shall be governed by the by ICAR norms as being issued from time to time.
10. The decision of the Joint Director, ICAR, Manipur Centre, Imphal will be final and binding in all respect.
