Workshop Description
This workshop is an opportunity for Canadian, Japanese, and Vietnamese researchers working on composite design, analysis, and manufacturing to gather for an intimate conference focused on new and emerging technology and practice. In addition to a robust technical program, attendees will also be able to explore Takayama's many cultural and natural amenities.
Scope
The scope of the 12th Joint Canada-Japan/2nd Joint Canada-Japan-Vietnam Workshop on Composites spans across all areas of composite design and manufacturing. The organizing committee is actively seeking papers focused on fundamental research, engineering R&D and industrial applications with the intention of promoting the innovative use of knowledge in equal measure to its creation.
Submission of papers
Abstracts are due by February 28, 2018 (EST). Full-papers are due by May 31, 2018 (EST). Please see:

The conference proceedings will be distributed on USB memories to participants at the conference site.
Afterward, the conference proceedings will be published.
Industrial visits and sightseeing:
Visit to Mitsubishi Heavy Industry and Toray Carbon Magic is planned. A sightseeing afternoon in the region of Hida-Takayama is also planned.
