Lowering of the Toyohashi University of Technology Activity Restrictions Level for Preventing the Spread of New Corona virus to "Level 2.5"
(Effective from June 21th to July 11th)
The University's activity standard for the new coronavirus has been set at Level 3 until June 20.
The declaration of a state of emergency that was issued for Aichi Prefecture will be lifted on June 20, and the area will be recategorized to areas under Priority Preventative Measures until July 11(14 cities, including Toyohashi city).
No one has been confirmed to be infected on campus since the beginning of June, and the number of people who are sick has been decreasing.
As for the infection situation in Toyohashi City, "the number of people infected per 100,000 people per week" and "the percentage of people with an unknown route of infection "*1 have been both decreased, as shown below, and as of yesterday, the indicators are at Stage 3 and below Stage 3 respectively.
However, it is still difficult to determine whether this situation is not transient and will continue to decrease.(Decline is slowing compared to the national trend)
In consideration of these circumstances, The University's activity standard for the new coronavirus will be lowered to Level 2.5 from June 21th to July 11th (during the period of Priority Preventive Measures). Please act to the standard level sequentially. Please refer to the Appendix for the activity standards.
Please note that although the number of PCR and antigen tests conducted for those who are not feeling well has been decreasing, depending on the test results, we may revise he University's activity standard if there is a risk of spreading the infection.
Although the declaration of a state of emergency in Aichi Prefecture has
been lifted, you are required not to be carelessly to prevent infection and
spread of the new coronavirus infection.
※1 The number of infected persons per 100,000 population is one of the five indicators given by the government's Subcommittee on Countermeasures to Combat Novel Coronavirus Infections.
Percentage of unknown route of infection Stage 3 and 4 (50%)
Stage 4: Infection explosion stage and the stage in which responses are required to avoid explosive spread of infection and serious dysfunction of the medical care delivery system.
Stage 3: The stage that requires a response to avoid explosive spread of infection and serious dysfunction of the healthcare delivery system.
Number of infections per 100,000 people in Toyohashi City in the last week, and percentage of people with unknown infection routes
6/02 - 6/08 85 infected persons/22.84 persons per 100,000 people 45.88%
6/03 - 6/09 104 infected/27.94 per 100,0000 45.88%
6/04 - 6/10 108 infected/29.01 per 100,0000 53.85%
6/05 - 6/11 112 infected/30.09 per 100,0000 52.78%
6/06 - 6/12 101 infected/27.13 per 100,0000 50.89%
6/07 - 6/13 113 infected/30.36 per 100,0000 46.90%
6/08 - 6/14 113 infected/30.36 per 100,0000 46.02%
6/09 - 6/15 107 infected/28.75 per 100,0000 42.99%
6/10 - 6/16 89 infected/23.91 per 100,0000 28.09%
6/11 - 6/17 81 infected/21.76 per 100,0000 27.16%
