2nd Seminar of Special Needs Education March 25 2008 Presented by Asadullah Through a scholarship under the name of strengthen special education, I went to Japan from 18 December 2005 to 2 March 2006. According to the program, works have been done in three fields

1. Collecting of information from the professors lectures

2. Observing schools and students with the blind, deaf, mental difficulty, physical difficulty.

3. Writing and preparing of a text book from professors’ lectures, seeing of schools, and reading of new books and materials which were available for me in Japan about special education. The textbook’s name is “Introduction to Special Education” which was directly supported by Prof. Hideo Nakata and Ms. Junko Nozawa. Also I was directly supported by Jahfar, an Afghan translator and Mr.

Fokushima, a member of CRICID, in collecting photos, printing and publishing of this book.

The places where I started my researched are the University of Tsukuba School for the Blind in Tokyo city, the University of Tsukuba Kurihama School for Children with Autism in Yokohama city, the University of Tsukuba School for the Deaf in Chiba, ordinary schools which have special classes for disabled children in Osaka city, Sports Center for the people with disabilities in Tokyo and the University of Tsukuba Kirigaoka School for Children with Motor disability in Tokyo.

It is needed to be mentioned that while I was observing the schools in Japan, the school’s directors were helping me to collect information about disabled children in Japan. Beside my observation, they gave me a full information about methods of teaching, use of teaching planes and so on that really helped me to complete my book.

This book contents about 90 pages which are as follows;

1. Preface

2. The international and historical plans of special education for disables 3. Education for kids whit visual difficulties

4. Education for kids whit audio (hearing) difficulties 5. What autism

6. Education for kids whit metal difficulties 7. Education for kids whit autism

8. Education for kids deferent difficulties All above titles have colored pictures.

Two months are so shot time for writing many books, so I wrote this book because I

had to write at lest one book. I tried so hard to complete it and I did and 200 copies of this book have been published by the support of Prof. Nakata and assist of JICA.
