PCP Guidelines

Reading: Reading and summarizing major points of 20 pages (per week) of introductory college-level textbooks written for native-speakers of English, using skimming/scanning techniques.

Writing: Composing a logical and coherent five-paragraph (minimum) essay for questions equivalent to the writing section of TOEFL.

Oral/aural skills: (1) Actively participating in question-answer sessions with instructors; (2) Actively participating in group discussions; (3) Demonstrating knowledge of the body language, structure, and visual aids appropriate for effective 10-minute (minimum) oral presentations.

• リーディング:英語を母語とする大学生向けの入門書を週に20ページほど(10,000語程度)、スキミングや スキャニングを用いて効率的に読み、論旨をまとめることができる。

• ライティング:TOEFLのwriting 問題と同レベルの課題について、英文エッセイの基本的な構成を踏まえて

(少なくとも)five-paragraph essayを作成できる。

• 会話スキル:(1)教員とスムーズに質疑応答ができる。(2)グループディスカッションに積極的に参加でき る。(3)10分以上のoral presentationに必要なbody language・構成・資料の使い方を理解している。
