■ 동 법은 허가된 단체에 의한 특정한 법률 서비스의 공급을 규율하기 위한 규정을 마련하고 있다. 변호사가 아닌 사 람에 의한 유언 및 법적 진술서의 집행에 대한 법적 규율에 대해서도 규정하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 스코틀랜드 법률 협회와 변호사협회에 대한 별도의 규정을 두고 있다. 민사사건에서 비법률전문가에 의한 구두진술에 관한 규칙도 규정하고 있다.

■ 부채 구제법(북 아일랜드)의 개정의 핵심사항은 부채를 안고 있는 개인이 부채의 부담으로부터 잠정적으로 유예될 수 있음을 허용한 것이다. 북 아일랜드에 법률에 있어 채무자의 구제에 있어 다른 지역과 비교했을 경우의 허점을 보 완하자는 것이 동법 개정의 기본적인 취지이다. 지불기간이 도래했음에도 불구하고 금전채무를 이행하지 못하는 채 무자는 이 법의 개정에 의해 자발적으로 채무이행의 약정을 추가로 체결할 수 있다. 이는 채무자에게 채무의 이행을 일시적으로 유예시켜 주는 것이다. 동 제도는 자산의 배분을 전제하지 않기 때문에 개인파산제도와는 다르다는 것 이 본질적인 특징이다. 동법의 개정에 핵심 포인트는 이러한 지불유예가 모든 채무자에게 허용되는 것은 아니며, 채 무자가 반드시 입증 가능한 개인 자산이나 소득이 존재하였을 경우에만 인정된다는 점이다.
