The Survey Research Center (SRC) in the Sungkyunkwan University is currently conducting the Korean General Social Survey (KGSS), an annual national sample survey funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). The purpose of this survey is to collect primary social data that can be widely used in cross-national comparative studies. Most Questions in this survey concern your opinions on some of the basic political, economic, and social phenomena. The survey also includes your opinion concerning a few modular topics: <Health>, the 2011 designated module of the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) participated by 50 countries all around the world, and three contract modules of human rights, ageism, and citizenship behaviors in Korea.
Since we tried to select our respondents in a way to best represent the people in this country, the results of this survey are likely to lose the representativeness if you fail to respond to this interview request. We sincerely would like to ask your sincere cooperation so that this survey could produce valuable research data. Your answers will be kept strictly confidential and anonymous, of course. We would really appreciate it if you take time to answer every question in this survey.
June, 2011
Sang-Wook Kim, Prof.
