T his pr ov es w ell th at ir r eg u lar j ob s failed t o deliv er a fun ction of b r idg in g th e irr eg u lar j ob s an d th e r eg ular j ob s (N am J a e - ry an g , Kim T a e - ki, 2000 ; K eu m J ae - h o, 2000 ; L ee By u n g - h ee, 200 1) 1) .. 1) Keum Jae- ho(2000) analy zed a tran sition process of irregular w orker s fro of an irregular job to the tran sfer to a regular job an d denomin ated th e 'irregular job maintenance rate ' . T he analy sis w a s made by u sing the K pan el study carried out by the Korea Labor In stitute. According to his an y ear s irregular job maintenance rate w as 77.1%, and the fiv e year s rate provin g that the most of irregular w orker s hav e remained in irregular Byung - hee(2001) stu died the effect s of irregular job experience on employment of a per son who once lost his job . He found out that a per son had irregular job experien ce w as less likely to be hired as a regular w orke likely to be employed as an irregular w orker again . His fin ding s w ere ba connection pan el studies which w as made by ex aminin g the same per son. - 2 -.

He as serted that the latter implies judgement of say s irregular employment is n ot desirable so that the regular employmen pur sued. He also said th e term 'irregular w orker ' is inappropriate becau se the fact that the perfect w orking con dition is not gu aranteed for the w orke. - 6 -.
