EURASIAN MATHEMATICAL JOURNAL IS INDEXED IN SCOPUS On September 23, 2014, by the initiative of Elsevier a forum was organized at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University to celebrate indexing the Eurasian Math- ematical Journal in Scopus.
The Eurasian Mathematical Journal was organized in 2010 by the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in co-operation with the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, and Padova University. It has a large international editorial board consisting of prominent mathematicians from more than 30 countries. Many of them published their own papers in the journal and this contributed to quick international recognition of the journal.
The Eurasian Mathematical Journal publishes carefully selected original research papers in all areas of mathematics written by mathematicians, mainly from Europe and Asia. However, papers by mathematicians from other continents are also welcome.
Papers accepted for publication are edited from the point of view of English.
Apart from Scopus, the contents of the journal are indexed in Mathematical Re- views (USA), Zentralblatt f¨ur Mathematik und ihre Grenzgebiete (zbMATH, Ger- many), Referativnyi Zhurnal - Matematika (Russia), Math-Net.Ru (Russia). In the portal Math-Net,Ru it has a rather high impact-factor (0,672 for year 2013).
The Eurasian Mathematical Journal became a really international journal. In 2010- 2014 more than 150 papers were published written by mathematicians from more than 40 countries representing all continents (Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Be- larus, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ethiopia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (China), India, Indonesia, Italy, Israel, Japan, Kaza- khstan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA, Uzbekistan).

HISTORY OF ELSEVIER AND SCOPUS
Elsevier, one of the world largest publishing companies which annually publishes around a quarter of all world scientific journals, was founded in 1880. It has evolved from a small Dutch publishing house devoted to classical scholarship into an interna- tional multimedia publishing company with over 20 000 products for educational and professional science and healthcare communities worldwide. Elsevier takes its name from the original House of Elzevir, a Dutch family publishing house founded in 1580.
Elsevier’s history reflects a series of collaborations in the effort to advance science and health. These publishing collaborations with a group of scientific visionaries - ranging from Jules Verne to Stephen W. Hawking - created the foundation of scientific and medical publishing.
Elsevier’s Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a com- prehensive overview of the world’s research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.
