Etiology and pathogenesis of dental caries is largely determined by negative habits of a person associated with improper consumption of sugar, violation of self-cleaning of the oral cavity, insufficient level of hygiene. The purpose of the current research was to study the functions of the dentist's sanitary and educational work among children aimed at the organization of effective preventive work and healthy lifestyle formation. Sanitary and educational work was carried out among all children who asked for help at the regional dental clinic in the city of Taraz during 2003-2013.
Sanitary and educational work was carried out in 3 phases under the conditions of the organized children's groups and in the dental clinic. Great emphasis was placed on sanitary training of staff in children's groups and parents. The sanitary and educational work carried out by dentists for 10 years among children aged 3 to 14 years promoted to increase the proportion of healthy children by 1517%.

Frequent involvement of temporary teeth with caries, their early removal leads to the formation of defects in the tooth rows, secondary deformations, anomalous development of dental arches and jaws. The purpose of our research was to study the experience of restoration of dental defects in children with temporary occlusion. 27 children aged 4 to 9 with premature removal of temporary teeth were under observation.
With a view to prosthetic dentures, 24 children came on the recommendation of dental surgeons, who were removing the broken teeth. In the presence of malocclusion in 19 (72%) children, pretreatment was performed for correction of occlusion deviation. Dental prosthetics in children is a necessary procedure that helps to maintain chewing and phonetic functions in the child and prevent the development of orthodontic pathology.
