Scientific school: a school of paleolithologists of Kazakhstan was established; under his leadership, 2 doctors PhD, 9 candidates of sciences, dozens of masters in history, archeology are protected. He is the head of doctoral dissertations of candidates not only from Kazakhstan, but from Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan. His students work in France, Japan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan.
Scientific interests: anthropogenesis, the history of the ancient cultures of Eurasia, the problems of colonization of the territory of Central Asia and Kazakhstan by the primitive man, his culture, migration and ethnic ties.
