“Typical rules for enrolling into educational establishment realizing professional academic programs of post graduate education” confirmed by RK government regulation №111 of 19.01.2012, with additions of 19.04.2012г. №487.

Master course can be taken by citizens who have mastered professional academic programs of higher education. Citizens are enrolled to master course on competitive basis due to entrance exams results.

Programs of master course entrance exams are formed on the basis of typical programs of higher education disciplines. Master course applicants take entrance exams:

1) one of foreign languages (English, French, German);

2) major discipline.

Foreign language entrance exam are taken by technologies developed by National Testing Center of RK Education and Science Ministry. Those ones who have got enough scores for foreign language exam are accepted to major discipline exam. Those ones who have got not less

(16)

than 8 scores in total (according to 4-scores scale of assessment per each exam).

Major discipline exam is based on the program of previous stage of higher professional education (bachelor course) and is conducted according to corresponding program of master course entrance exam. (http://www.ektu.kz/magistracy/order.aspx).

9 Programs of practices

Manufacturing practice of a master student takes place at a profile enterprise in order they could apply theoretical knowledge obtained during study process, obtain practical skills, competences, and experience of professional activity of specialty «Geology and Exploration of mineral deposits», as well as master advanced experience. Content of manufacturing practice is defined by the theme of Master’s thesis.

Master course practice oriented program is achieved due to long lasting manufacturing practice (3-6 months after all theoretical study or in the middle of study, or by turns during sudy process) where master student works in profile specialization.

The best credit is considered to be realization of project approach to studying when mater student realizes one or several experimental-promotional projects, approximate analogue of scientific research and experimental development work (SREDW). It contributes to deeper and more complex, intersubject understanding of the studied program.

Bases of practices of profile master course of specialty 6М070600 «Geology and Exploration of mineral deposits», realized within the framework of realization of State program of Industrial Innovation Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2015-2019 are profile industrial enterprises SPIID-2.

Master students’ experimental and research work is carried out at profile industrial enterprises SPIID-2 as well as at the sub-department branch offices of Ltd UK Metallurgical plant “Kazzinc”. JSC “Ulba Metallurgical plant”, affiliation of Regional state enterprise «NC of CEMR RK» , “VNIItsvetmet” and in laboratories of engineering profile “Irgetas” of D.Serikbaev EKSTU.

Experimental and research work should:

- correspond to basic problematics of the specialty (specialization) and define the subject matter of Master’s thesis;

- be based on up-to-date achievements of science, technology and production and comprise definite practical recommendations, independent solutions of management problems;

- be carried out with the help of advanced information technologies;

- comprise experimental-research (methodological, practical) parts on main defended statements;

Conclusion of experimental and research work of master students is Master’s thesis.

On the basis of experimental researches master students can participate in an annual scientific-practical conference.
