Pre-diploma practice presentation of 4-year students 2019-2020
At the Department of Chemistry on May 8, 2020, 4-year students defended their pre- diploma practice presentation before the approved commission. The commission consisted of the head of department, professor Dr. Tashenov A.K., associate professors Tazhkenova G.K., Mashan T.T., Uali A.S. Teachers of the Department of Chemistry and representatives of the Career and Business partnership Department Kilibaeva Ural Kalievna and Mausymbaeva Kabira Kabdullaeva also attended. Students presented their work done from 9.03.2020 to 11.05.2020 to the commission via Microsoft Teams program.
Throughout the pre-diploma practice, every student completed the following tasks:
1. Decisively chose and approved the topic of future research;
2. Selected and studied materials for use and their interpretation in his work;
3. Got acquainted with the characteristics of the production of the enterprise, its organization;
4. Supervised the workflow at the practice site;
5. Conducted the necessary research for the practical part of the diploma work;
At the end of the defense of practice some questions were asked by Kilibaeva, U.K.
1. How did quarantine affect your undergraduate practice? How much did you manage to complete the planned part of the work, before switching to the distance learning?
2. Did you keep in touch with the supervisor, what work was done on distance learning?
3. Have you used the database of the ENU library?
Answers to questions voiced by a student of the group CHM-43 Narmuhamedova A.R.:
1. Since the processes last not one, not two, but several days, the practical part was started back in September, and also some experiments were started back in production practice. Therefore, there were no complications.
2. Communication was maintained through gmail, Whatsapp, meetings were held at Microsoft Teams, Zoom. The practical part was discussed, conclusions on the work done were deduced, and chromatograms and spectra were decoded.
3. Yes, we used the library fund, in particular the Web of Science database, which the university provides access to. The articles contained data that were used to discuss the results and conclusions.
Upon completion of the defense of pre-diploma practice, the members of the commission expressed their opinion on each student's work and gave corresponding marks.
