on the topic of "OPTIMIZATION OF DRILLING AND BLASTING OPERATIONS BY ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN

THE FIELDS OF OPEN SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT"

1. The thesis consists of 62 pages

2. The number of applications - 0, figures - 19, 16 tables, literature -15 formula - 4.

3. Relevance of the work. Drilling and blasting operations (DBO) is one of the main technological processes in open cast mining. Drilling is moderately difficult and expensive part of drilling and blasting process. The cost of drilling in hard rocks in the quarries can be up to one-third the cost of the rock mass. The productivity of the loading and transport equipment, its durability and operating efficiency depend on the quality of loosening rocks. This fact proves the relevance of this work, as optimization of drilling and blasting operations through the establishment of new technologies has a positive impact on the production technology of mining in general.

4. The object of study is Aktogay mine LP «KAZ Minerals».

5. The subject of the study is the establishment of new technologies of Leica Geosystems Mining company such as Jmineops and Jigsaw.

6. The aim is to achieve the most efficient use of drilling rigs on the basis of installed applications, guaranteeing high performance of drilling and blasting operations in general, as well as to improve productivity of subsequent processes of mining.

7. Research Methods. A complex method of research, including the analysis of data on drilled and blasted blocks on the basis of Jmineops Jigsaw applications, generalization and analysis of the results of performed work were used during the research.

8. Research Tasks:

1) The study and analysis of Leica system program.

2) The establishment of an application package of the Leica Geosystems Mining company in the production process.

3) Identification of features which improve the project process and control of production of drilling and blasting operations.

9. Scientific provisions for the defense:

1) Traditional methods of project’s removal with the help of physical reference points have a number of drawbacks: the high labor intensity of each drilling hole by surveyor; low accuracy during setting out of boundaries and only some of the holes, a large labor of pointing accuracy control; the complexity of

determining the causes of errors during steering and so on. Low accuracy of compliance of holes project grid reduces the effect obtained from the use of modern technology automation. Implementation of J²drill application of Leica Geosystems Mining company, built on the high-precision positioning equipment, not only reduces the cost of the expense of the classic functions of automated systems, but also allows to achieve the maximum effect from the use of modern automated systems.

2) The possibility to reduce the cost of a cubic meter of blasted rock mass, also to increase the efficiency and productivity of excavators by determination of the following objectives: improving the quality of engineering, precision of targeting of drilling rigs on the project wellheads and compliance of designed depth. Using geological systems of automatized engineering and automated blasting management systems allows to solve the following problems.

10. Scientific novelty of research

1) efficiency improvement of the use of the drilling rig, associated with high-precision navigation and positioning the machine in strict accordance with the project, as well as by reducing the time to travel on the block.

2) efficiency improvement of drilling operations by the precise execution of the project for drilling (relevance of the drilling holes location, its depth);

3) monitoring of drilling operations in real time, 24 hours displaying the information about the number of drilled holes, drilling operations volume, the actual location of holes in the area, as well as the remaining amount of drilling to the end of the drilling unit;

4) after increasing the productivity and efficiency of the drilling rig reduced consumption of diesel fuel and consumption of drilling bit and rods are reduced for 1 meter of drilling;

11. The practical significance of the work

The implement ion of the modern J²drill application of Leica Geosystems Mining company modern applications has increased the efficiency of the drilling rig, associated with high-precision navigation and positioning the machine in strict accordance with the project, as well as by reducing the time to travel on the block;

increased productivity of the drilling rig, which in turn reduces the volume of re- drilling; increased the efficiency of drilling operations by the precise execution of the project for drilling (relevance of the hole location, its depth).

Also, the use of this system has allowed monitoring drilling operations in real time, which as a result has provided a map at any time, information on the number of drilled holes, drilling operations volume, the location of the actual holes in the area, as well as the remaining amount of drilling work to drilling end block.

After increasing of the productivity and efficiency of the drilling machine to reduce the consumption of diesel fuel and consumption drilling bits and rods for 1 meter of drilling, as well as the cost of 1m. of drilling was reduced.

12. Publications related to the work

The contents and the main provisions of the thesis "Sustainable scientific and technological development: trends and technologies" were presented at the International Scientific and Practical Conference of students, graduates and young
