XIІ Republican Student Olympiad on "Tourism" specialty Republic of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, April 16th -17th, 2020
Dear students and teachers!
Tourism Department, Faculty of Economics of L.N. Gumilyev Eurasian National University in the period from April 16th to 17th, 2020 holds the XIІ Republican Student Olympiad on "Tourism" specialty (hereinafter - the Olympiad).
The Olympics encompasses the 3 (three) stages:
Stage 1 (Online submission - homework in any of following languages: Kazakh, Russian and English) An essay on the topic: "Prospects for the promotion of tourism products and the possibility of SMART technologies (on the example of participants’ regions)."
The deadline for the online submission of homeworks and applications is March 9, 2020 by e-mail: [email protected].
The first stage qualifies the participants for subsequent full-time participation in the Olympiad. Qualified teams will be contacted by email no later than March 20, 2020.
Stage 2 (Full-time): Competition in active types of tourism.
Date and place: April 16, 2020, the park zone of Nur-Sultan Languages for the 2nd stage – Kazakh and Russian.
Stage 3 (Full-time): Presentation of the projects according to the aforementioned topic:
“Prospects for the promotion of tourism products and the possibilities of SMART technologies (on the example of participants’ regions)."
Time limit for the presentation: 7 min.
Date and venue: April 17th, 2020, Nur-Sultan, Munaytpasov str. 11, No.
821, Room no. 605.
Language of presentation of the 3rd stage - Kazakh, Russian and English.
ATTENTION: A prerequisite is compliance of participating students with their declared specialty (supporting document - identity card, certificate from the university). Upon detection of non-compliance, the commission board is entitled to disqualify the team, and such applications will be rejected (Appendix 1, Appendix 2). The university is represented by no more than 2 (two) teams, each of which consists of 5 (3 male + 1 female + 1 reserve(female preferred) full-time undergraduate students.
A prerequisite is the appointment of the teaching staff as a team leader of the sending party.
An information letter and the regulation on the Olympiad will be posted on ENU website (www.enu.kz).
Detailed information about the Olympiad is presented in the Regulation on the XII Republican Student Olympiad on "Tourism"speciality.
Organizational and hosting responsibilities of the Olympiad is laid on the Tourism Department.

After sending the application, please, confirm (by phone) the participation to eliminate possible technical problems with e-mail.
Please, note that travel, accommodation and other additional expenditures related to the participation in the Olympiad are met by the sending party.
