A B S T R A C T
Ageing population is no longer an uncommon issue and has become one of the major global phenomenon in the 2 1s t century and has significantly altered the demographic profile of numerous states especially in terms of supplying a pool talent of human resource. Nowadays, providing a retirement with pension is considered as a right of the workers in many countries and Malaysia is not included. The research is about the understanding towards the Malaysian retirement age among the undergraduates in Kota Kinabalu. This research is specifically focus on the understanding towards the proposed retirement age by C U E P A C S among the undergraduates in Kota Kinabalu. The objective of the research is to assess the understanding of the implications of proposed retirement age towards undergraduates as proposed by C U E P A C S and to find out the understanding of the undergraduates regarding the impacts of extension of retirement age towards them as they will be the future job seeker. For sampling technique, the researchers conducted a purposive sampling in order to obtain the desired information from the targeted and specific group. To relate with this case study, there are specific targeted group that this research requires the desired information from which are the undergraduates from University Technology Mara ( U i T M ) , Sepanggar Branch and University Malaysia Sabah (UMS). The amount of questionnaire distributed is 200 questionnaires. For the finding and analysis, the researchers used SPSS to analyze the data in order to achieve the objective of the research. There are limitations and recommendations for the purpose of further improvement.
