ABSTRACT

This paper elaborated the potential of used of wind turbine in the ducting system. 500W of Vertical Angle Wind Turbine (VAWT) were analysed in order to produce electricity. Wind turbine with VAWT had been used in this experiment. The analysis had been done to identify the best area at blade in order to get a best performance of output at wind turbine. Reflect to the actual project in Heat Ventilation Air Conditioning, the air pressure is coming from blower and distribute to the whole ducting. The losses during distribution will be happened, in order to produce a good output, the special design between air pressure from blower and wind turbine where it will located is needed. It will elaborate the performance of wind turbine based on dummy air pressure from 0.5m/s minimum into 3m/s. Based on the experiment, the highest power output is at the centre with a biggest curve achieved higher voltage output.

Keywords: wind turbine; VAWT; HVAC; angle and blade.
