This workshop demonstrate the application of Tecnai Spirit TEM and show how to apply this powerful technique in your own research. The workshop is aimed at postgraduates and researchers who plan to extend their research using TEM characterization. The workshop consists of lectures from experts and practical session. Participants will be introduced to the workflow of sample preparation to TEM imaging. Seats are limited and registration is based on first come first serve basis.

Lecture 1 - Tecnai Spirit, Visualiza-tion of Cells and Sub-Cellular Structures Simon Fong Khin Mun is one of the application engineers from Crest Group of Companies. Simon is a Biomedical Engineering First Class Honor Graduate from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. Simon has participated numerous Microscopy Training such as Optical Microscope, AFM, SEM, and TEM for both life science and material research. Aside from these, he is also managing animal imaging product line such as micro-CT, micro-SPECT/PET/MRI and etc. Simon has been assisting Life Sciences end-users in on-site application training, product demonstration, and technical presentation.

Ho Oi Kuan is a senior application specialist from Crest Group. Mr.
Ho has more than 40 years experience in one of the leading universities in Malaysia for Electron Microscope in Life Science and Material Science. Meanwhile, he is also the expertise in ultra- microtomy for biological specimen, a technique which sections the sample into ultra thin thickness for TEM imaging. Mr. Ho has participated in numerous EM related trainings such as SEM, TEM, and conducted various workshops on sample preparation and electron microscopy.
