ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to examine the difference in job satisfaction of production workers employed in Japanese and German organizations. In addition it w:1s designed to sec the eflcct of demographic variables (age, sex, experience, income and m~rital
status) on job satisfaction of -employees in these two organizations. Using the •
·' questi.onnaire technique, data was collected fi:om 56 and 60 production workei·s

working in Japanese and Gennan organizations respectively. The results show that neither the ownership nor the demographic vaiiablcs influenced the job satisfa·ction scores.
