1. What is edotco’s role in the 5G Malaysia demonstration?
Answer: As a neutral host to support 5G private network for industries via infra and environment. In the case of the trial, edotco together with Peatalk will support the requirements of a smart airport.
2. How the use case benefits the society?
Answer: In the case of an airport, the operations will be streamlined, optimized and airport management will be made more efficient and profitable. At the same time, the passenger experience improves.
3. What would the cost be and who is bearing the cost?
Answer: edotco and their technology partners are bearing the cost and as for the amount - this is a trial, our goal is to prove its capabilities and ability to support a smart airport.
4. Why Langkawi?
Answer: Langkawi international airport is an ideal testbed due to several factors:
a) It receives international and domestic travelers who expect seamless connectivity experience.
b) The size allows us to scale up during major events hosted in Langkawi for example LIMA.
c) Also, the test showed the (connectivity) speed at Langkawi international airport is not up to mark, not befitting of an international airport.
5. What’s edotco’s aspiration?
Answers: We support Malaysia’s digital agenda and this is part of our larger nation building efforts.
