Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing programme introduces the novel niche in nursing research activities that will involve various nursing fields. This programme would facilitate the enrolment of students for Master Degree holders who intent to pursue research at a higher degree level.

This research-focused doctoral programme will promote the development of a cognitive style that emphasizes abstract thinking and critical analysis of the research findings for building knowledge that advances culturally competent nursing and nursing education.

The programme aims to inculcate the Islamic knowledge and value in nursing art and science for the nature and future of humankind.

The fundamental concern is to promote human wellbeing at an individual, local and global level within a sustainable environment.

As such, this program is different from other interdisciplinary educational initiatives in that its curriculum is purposely designed rather than simply an amalgamation of existing disciplines.
